UK vs Israel?

In a conventional War, with no Nukes, just all out Military power and Man power....Who would win?

Im British, but I think stalemate, I think the UK would be the aggresor, and try to Invade Israel, but Israel are Pro's at defending their land and would put alo't of hurt on UK.

In Terms of Troop's and Tank's the UK would have the upper hand, better trained IMO and more of us, The Challanger 2 IMO Is the best Tank In the world.

Air force?? Israel maybe I think, more Jets, slighlty better pilot's

Close war, but Stalemate.

I think all wars should be fought hand to hand, or, at the most swords and axes.

Yes, this would potentially make it bloodier than what war already is.

Psychologically speaking, hand to hand could make people think about if what they are fighting for is really worth it or not.

I'm sure NATO would have something to say. To be honest considering the relationships between Israel and the US but also the US and the UK I don't think this war would be likely to happen.

But hypothetically speaking?

I think we the UK would win.
Awesome equipment, awesome solider's and just generally good training and strategy.

Invading Israel would certainly be far from easy though..

The UK would have to start this war right now before Cameron and his corrupt government carry out their plans to dismantle our armed forces. Who knows, perhaps Rupert Murdoch will cause such a war to get his revenge on the British public!

Well since Israel can't crap in a toilet that the US didn't pay for, I'd say Israel. That reechoed little state will be the downfall of the US.

Haha, I love your cynical outlook on this. It's the same as mine.

If the UK went in there is a good chance some of NATO will follow, some would abstain. Palestine, Iran and other nations in the Middle East would also be willing to help out, could see Russia and China joining in on the bashing as well. The big question is the US, in the current political climate it would step in to try and save Israel, if 9/11 was to be exposed then the political environment would change and then may abstain. Israel will let loose on its nukes and economic sabotage, but end up as one big hole in the ground.

It would be a tough battle, Jews know how to fight in the desert, they live there already for a long time.

Hypothetically ...... Assuming conventional warfare and no outside intervention, then if Britain invaded Israel, Britain would lose. And if Israel invade Britain, Israel would lose.

Either side would need an overwhelming larger army, navy and airforce to stage a sucessful invasion.

In a war with no nukes i think the UK would win.Israel might seem quite strong militarally but the british armed forces are organized,well trained,fairly well equiped,strategicaly aware and fully grown men.They are not a ragtag mallitia made up of kids being organized by a few freedom fighters,which is what the israeli army is used to picking on.

Well not so sure UK could defend herself efficiently and quickly, majority of our forces, equipment and vehicles are oversea's, I don't even know how many Tanks, Planes and Men could be mobilized quick enough to rebel any land Invasion but It would take a while would proberly be a mess.

Actually, that's a good point!

Whilst Israel's armed forces are aways in Israel, ours are busy helping out in all matter of varying crises around the world - not all of which are of a military nature I hasten to add!

But if Israel invaded, they'd be up against me. And this is MY country. I think I'd hold 'em off a while

Hey I would have to totally agree....Although it is interesting to note that Israel & UK have the best ground troops in the world. I'm sure lots will disagree with this but I'm talking ground troops here.

I'm amazed, nay-astonished, that this thread has got this far without someone accussing those who think the British would win of being antisemetic and racist!? That's usually how it works when anyone critises or plays down Israels effectiveness and position in the world.
