I don't think an ELEnin will be that big, from what I understand it wouldn't be a direct hit anyway but a glancing blow if you will. The result would be a debris field of smaller earth shattering crap which we would then fly through.

I think you could make a stronger case that the film version of [i[Starship Troopers predicted the War on Terror than Deep Impact predicting an impact by Elenin.

Where did I get my data? Well, from ATS threads of course, obviously the most sound and reliable source of information on the internet.

Seriously though, I read some posts back in the early days of the Elenin craze where a you tuber was talking about it coming close, and us going through its tail, and a debris field. On and On.

I personally don't really think there is anything fishy here other than the name which has only been made fishy by conspiracy theorists.
