It was great.

I know how some people feel about it looking like a rock. I'm assuming when people hear "Monolith" they may (like I do) think of the one in the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey. I still think this will prove to be a great find and hopefully other relics/items will be recovered from the area

but other statues of Tlaloc.

Well didn't the Spanish and others plunder the new world for hundreds of years because there were large amounts of gold/silver at one time?

Makes one wonder if there are temple/tomb locations with still buried gold...

great find. these are the threads that made me join ats.
i beieve we will have many more big discoveries like this to come. archeaologists are using infa red satalite images of the earth now to see things under the ground, covering a lot more ground more quickly. only a little while ago another sun temple was found in egypt using this method.

Can not wait for whatever doomsday prediction some of you guys gleen off of the 2k year old work of some Fred Flinstone. My bet will be it verifies the existance of the invisiable, black hole astroid/planet that the scientific modern world has failed to see. Could be it discribes the coming Polar Shift that puts Miami under 150 feet of Ice. Ever notice that each time a big rock like this is discovered it is of great importance and not just something a juiced up native spent his weekends on.
