Ahmed Wali Karzai, brother to the Afghan president and one of the most powerful men in the country, has been killed.

"I confirm that Ahmad Wali was killed inside his house," Zalmay Ayoubi, a spokesman for the governor of Kandahar province, told the Reuters news agency.

He was killed by one of his bodyguards. Not a big loss. The guy was a CIA stooge and the biggest drug dealer in Afghanistan. The guy was corrupt to the bone.

How do you find these stories before anyone else? Great catch anyway. Good story, great news.

This could be very bad. Recall the "sudden" assassination of Massoud a few days before the 9/11 hits. These people have a history of making major moves against individual commanders who might have made a difference, before making the offensive they have in mind. I hope we aren't seeing a similar preemptive strike before a major offensive following behind it,

Good that he is dead, he is one of the biggest drug lord who is directly connected with the CIA. I guess US is planning to run away from Afghanistan and are trying to leave no trace of their evil doings.
