Many films have a normal story as we watch the movie but as the end of the
movie comes there is a shocking twist which is generally liked by the people
and they come out of the theater with startled and surprised faces.

This thread is related to movies of such types.
I am a great fan of suspense and thriller and we find shocking twists in this
genre more often.

My favorite movies with shocking twist include:
1.Usual Suspects:Twist-Kevin Spacey's character is Keyser Soze himself.
2.Sixth sense:Twist-Bruce Willis' character is actually dead.
3.Planet Of The Apes:Twist-The planet is actually Earth in the future.

All your replies are welcome and add to the list.

Yeah, Oldboy was pretty sick.

Off the top of my head:
Fight Club
The Machinist
Jacob's Ladder
The Other's....kinda figured that one out really early on.
Momento

Most anything else in the 'psychological thriller' category

Oldboy has become a classic "twist movie" and a real mind blower if you can dig a foreign film. If you choose to watch it, I'd stay away from reading reviews and spoilers. Just see it.

Good twist movie-

"Primer."

A movie I can't say enough good things about. Intellectual and just really really fun. I hope you check it out if you haven't already. Its low budget but won and was nominated for tons of Indi film fest awards.

Go see Primer if you want to really have a mind melter.

Eh, while I'm at it- the movie "The Game" with Michael Douglas had a nice twisty-ending...but its a little dated and after recently watching it again after many years, I think adults may question the strength of its plot.

Yeah...see Primer. Best flick I've seen in many many years.

Wanna see a really weird one that makes you freak out a little? "Dogtooth"...but beware, it has a lot of nudity (the full bore kind) and sexual acts...but over all, another award winning indi flick and absolutely bizarre.

-Identity
-The Village
-Momento
-The Prestige
-Primal Fear
-Just Cause (scared the # outta me when I was a kid)

The best without a doubt is shawshank redemption..

I also liked dusk till Dawn.. Never knew anything about it when I watched it... The last thing I expected were vampires..

Intensity, perhaps.
It's about a serial killer who kidnaps people to keep them captive in his house and torture them until they go insane.
He's a police officer.

Hey Man

I didny mean it in a bad way. I quite liked the sixth sense! I just meant that Oldboy is a serious mind f*** of a movie.

Another one for you is PI (as in 3.14). A mathematician discovers how to work the stock market but I think discovers Gods real name...or something...very twisty!!

I also quite liked the Village!

Here's one I haven't seen on anyone's list "The Mist". A scifi - end of the world type movie with everyday heroes, a terrified apocalyptic preacher woman, gov't. experiment gone awry, giant horrifying creatures and an ending that will surely make you say "Oh MY God....NO!!!"

The crying game. I never saw it but I know the ending and it was, apparently, quite a shocker.

SAW was probably one of the best shock twists ever, but this movie had a pretty cool end twist...

But the shock twist at the end of BODY HEAT is one of my faves....
