According to Breaking News on the Weather Channel, June 23, 2011 at 9:45 pm central time, the levee at Brownsville, Nebraska near the Cooper Nuclear
Plant just broke! They said that evacuations are under way, more news to come. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this. Stay

I don't know how accurate this source is. Not finding any news on levee breaking.
Only reccommendations of evac, but that was three days ago when they said there was a possibility that the levee COULD break

I doubt if you will find links on this. Most of the important stuff is being blacked out of the media. I got this from the Weather Channel and posted immediately. Sorry. Maybe more will come out later and someone else can post. Be Safe.

I read the OP and it says Weather Channel.

The word Levee does appear on the page,
but only as a warning.
From what I can understand of the paragraph above,
a flood stage of 33 feet meeting a waterlevel of 44.8 feet
does not require the levee to fail for everything to flood and the levee to be destroyed.
