I have been asked what angel delight is when i done a recipe for angel delight cheese cake i have a few recipes for this,

RECIPE 1 - cherry angel delight

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/69fa6d67ef5d.jpg[/atsimg]

You will need

1 small angle food cake
1 large carton sour cream
1 small package instant vanilla pudding
17 fl oz milk
1 can cherry pie filling

Step 2: Mix The Pudding

In a separate bowl, mix the vanilla pudding with the milk and sour cream.Add this mixture to the bowl with the cake pieces.
Step 3: Refrigerate

Place the bowl in the refrigerator and allow it to sit until it is nice and firm.Top the mixture with the cherry pie filling and return i9t to the refrigerator until it is cold.

RECIPE 2 -

Homemade angel delight:

3 1/2 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp sugar
1 pint milk
4 tbsp cocoa

mix dry ingredients together in a saucepan. add in the milk and set over med heat, stirring constantly. once thick, let cool and fold in 1/2 pint whip cream, lightly whipped. Can remove the cocoa + change the sugar to brown for butterscotch, or add vanilla for vanilla flavour. Or not put in the whip cream for a more healthy version. It's also very nice swirled into tapicoa pudding or cold rice pudding.

RECIPE 3 - STRAWBERRY ANGEL DELIGHT made with jelly - metric convertor if needed www.worldwidemetric.com...

Ingredients

2 pkg. strawberry jello
2T. sugar
1 pt. whipping cream
2-1/2c. boiling water
2 pkg. frozen strawberries
1 prepared angel food cake

How to make it

Dissolve sugar & jello in water.
Add frozen strawberries and stir until dissolved.
Chill until partially set. Whip the cream & fold in.
Break half of cake into bite-sized pieces & put into bottom of 9x13" pan.

Hello everyone, this is the first post iv made in this forum, which is ridiculous really because im an avid cook, ive just decided im spending way too much time in the conspiracy forums. My kids love Angel Delight, and i have to say theres nothing that tastes quite like it, and it has the unenviable qualities of being a desert and chemistry experiment at the same time
you can actually see it thickening in the bowl. To the poster who mentioned butterscotch flavour, yes they still make it, i tend to buy asdas own make as it tastes more or less the same. In fact Asda do a smart price Strawberry Delight (which is almost the same as AD) for 9p a pack. (well it was a few weeks back when i last look), its seems this particular wonder pudding is unaffected by inflation
