During a recent technology demonstration, Sony engineers showed off a striking application of a type of virtual reality that’s probably better known as “augmented reality.”
By overlaying 3D graphics onto the real world, a computer can make objects more informative, more useful or more entertaining. And in this case, Sony managed to turn the whole room into an augmented reality paradise with a lush tree canopy and birds flying overhead.

I come from a time when pens needed ink cartridges, there was no such thing as panty-hose and you had to actually get off the couch to change the channel on your black & white t.v. set. We've come a long way, baby! My question is...if this is what science is showing the public now, what are they NOT showing us yet. There seems to be a "quickening" of sorts happening in the sciences and in the future, I imagine nothing to be impossible.
