Who are you praying to? If it is the Christian god, the end cannot happen without pieces falling into place (according to the bible). The last step being the temple of Jesus being built with Jesus' return to earth. So you will be praying to a god in which told everyone the starting and finishing pieces to lead to the end!! The only thing anyone will not know is when the actual time is....It could be the day the temple is rebuilt or it could be 10,000,000 years down the road...Who knows??

I respect Calleman in that he is one a of a very few who goes against the normal grain of the 12/21/12 prediction date. I've not come across many peer-review or published authors on this topic brave enough to stand alone.

Problem is, it's a transition that's already started so, if nothing actually happens on that day, who's to say he was wrong?

It's undeniable to me that we are living in increasingly compressed time. 24 hours in the day is the same now as it was 10,000 years ago, just more is occurring within the same period today than ever before - especially natural events: earthquakes, flood, volcanos, tornados...

IMO, best thing to do is learn as much as you can, as crazy as it might sound. Take it all in and get familiar with what is being circulated as "true." That way, if some of these conspiracies are for real, you won't be shocked.

May I recommend that meditation is one way to take control of your life and slow your reality, lest you get swept up in the current.

*Sigh* Now i know why they keep the doomsday clock stuck at the 11th hour. Because they would constantly be resetting it after every failed prophecy.

Here's a prophecy and i promise it's 100% accurate: The world will not end yesterday. See? Now i'm a prophet!

Your not getting the point, this is not some doom prophecy here.... We're talking about moving into a new age, the age of aquarius, the end of a cycle and the start of a new one. The end of the world will not happen, maybe for some, naturally, as it should, but the end of the world will not happen for millions of years to come unless an asteroid wipes us out in the next 100 years. This new age is about awareness... We will learn a lot about the cosmos and what life is actually about, once people realize this, we can move on from the doom prophecies, and look forward to all that we will learn. This is a monumental time for humanity. Not because the world will end but because we will make a great leap in our evolution....

All this doom and gloom stuff is kinda getting annoying, as for god if he exists is the only one that knows when it is going to take us out. It's kinda presumptuous of a man thinking he can think like god, and know what it's thinking, also kinda egotistical. As for the Mayans that's just irony right there, we're trying to put our calendar and time period over theirs and making assumptions, hell even most Mayan descendent's say it's not about the end of the world.

Plus you wanna know why web bot and them pick up on it, because it reads the internet, it reads what we talk about 2012 this doomsday that, the more we talk about it the more it "predicts" and fuels us to talk more about it.
Nothing is going to happen, and even if it does who really cares if its suppose to be this big of thing where you going to run to? How you going to hide? No where is 100% safe, and even if you could find someplace like that would you really want to, the aftermath isn't going to be like some video game, or anything else anyone experienced ever.

So why worry about it, if something is going to get you, it will get you. If something bad is going to happen it will happen. Why stress out, and worry. Not saying be a sheep, just saying live your life how you want to live it and let the past and the future be live for the present.

I am a karmic/vedic astrologer and I think I have a pretty clear picture on what the Age of Aquarius technically is. In brief, you need the sidereal zodiac as well as the solstices/equinoxes to calculate it accurately. When people started to realize the fact of precession around the turn of the last century, astrologers in Europe predicted we would enter the Age of Aquarius in a few hundred years, perhaps within the 20th century.
What this technically means is that the Spring Equinox would slip back into the sign of Aquarius from one year to the next - thus any decent astrology program that has sidereal zodiac would tell you when this happens. My calculations would yield a time approximately 280 years in the future.
Should the AA happen now, next year, the boundaries of the sidereal zodiac would be different. But a lot of astronomically minded people - such as Hindus and Tibetans - have already been keeping record of the fact of the precession of equinoxes for thousands of years, also, Europeans who heeded precession also thought of dividing the zodiacal signs anew, and the three types of calculations are pretty close to each other - meaning that the boundaries of how you can divide the sky to twelve equal parts so that all the major parts of the constellations would fall into their respective one twelfth.
Sadly, this would yield a date far later than 2012 or 2011. Attempts to harmoize the end of the Mayan calendar with Indo-European astrological counting have so far failed.

What is 2012? All we know is that it is likely that the center of the Milky Way would be where the Sun would rise on the Winter Solstice of 2012, but there is a disagreement as to where that center exactly is. It could already have happened or it could be in the coming ten years as analytical books on the subject show.

With this said, I agree that we ARE in the midst of a consciousness revolution. Even if we use the zodiac as karmic and Hindu-Tibetan astrology does, which is nearest to where the constellations physically are, you can say that there are significant things happening astrologically speaking in the sign Aquarius all the time before the actual transition happens. And this is how it should be, for in meaning the Age of Aquarius would surely bring about a more environmentally conscious, collectively oriented society, and this would need major efforts BEFORE the transition.

For those people that cannot follow tha counting and the logic behind all this, it is useful to believe that we are near the AA and we should do everything in our power to help bring it about.

All I get from this stuff is some people either want the world to end due to some mental disorder or they want attention so they fear monger. Of course some have found a way to use false prophecy and fear mongering to make money. Either way, it's amazing how many of these prophecies there are and even when they never come true that people still stick to them.

MamaJ - Dont take any one source on the Mayans and their calendar to heart. Especially in the internet age where any whacko can post ramblings on the web. There are many, many Mayan scholars that balk at the phenomena the media and Hollywood have created about 2012. There is also a very confusing mix of new age spiritualism/astrogogy junk that is attaching to this THEORY of what the Mayans might have meant and all that does is confuse and scare people more. It has NOTHING to do with the "rapture" jargon that is going on either. People are getting worked up over false prophets. When the end is coming, nobody will know except the few God chooses to tell. Live your life and get to know God.
