At this point I don't think Pakistan would be very "confused" if things started happening. It's clear who has the agenda to instigate trouble there, and it's obvious that it's the US, which has been stirring up trouble in virtually every other Middle Eastern country. If anything we are causing Arabs in the region to band together and unite at least to kick our asses out of there. Now that China is also stepping in, pledging to defend Pakistan and begin developing military bases there, I really doubt the US is as gung-ho about going in there guns blazing any time soon.
