Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

But of course that is a extreme low risk "prophesy" which is 100% certain to "be fulfilled". Harold Camping "proved" it yesterday. The bronze-age brain stew you call the bible has been proving it for thousands of years.

No but you were hoping he was right, and you are disappointed he was wrong. And now you have to live with the ridicule this very christian act of in-depth foolishness inspired. And by the way if anyone is a true xian I'd say that "honor" goes to those who got bilked by Camping. They took a real risk with their faith, betting their livelihood on what they believed to be true. The rest of the xians are just fair weather believers. They play it smart and safe, but they're pansies nonetheless.

As we speak, in fact, this has long been fulfilled...

Colossians 1:23 - "This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven."

Good point. Paul firmly believed JeZeus would return in his lifetime. Ah but his faith was in vain!

False prophets have been appearing for centuries now. Nothing new here. As long as people believe in anything and anyone who claims to know the end day and donate money to them, the "prophets" will keep popping up. Who could blame them for living off people's stupidity?
