Has anyone felt like dying lately?Like a realization that death is inevitable so why wait?Ive had this strange feeling along with strange dreams and thoughts for about 3 weeks now.It kind of feels like the end is near, very near..for all of us.It could just be stress or depression although i dont have much to be depressed about..Is it just me?

Don't die, it can ruin your whole day.

Really, refresh yourself. Do stuff that isn't like you, just for the fun of it.

Depression is your enemy, sucking the colour & fun from life. Objectify it and overcome it.

Hi,

Well I'm Bi-Polar and I suffer from deep dark depression.
I'm not suicidal by nature... and I don't ever plan on hurting myself...
I got nothing to look forward to really...

Other than wanting to be stubborn as hell and holding out on Earth as long as I can...
Thats why I continue on

BUT.... I do at times think... Whats the damned point...

Sometimes I rather wished I didnt exist...
I don't wanna die...
but if i could fade out of existence
quickly and painless

but those "Episodes" pass

but i've battled this for a long time now...

Nothing recent has spurred it.

I don't take medications to control my depression...
can't afford it... ha

But I dont fully know your situation (or that of others)

but there is a lot of sorrow... there Earthquakes, Floods, accidents...

Is all these things increasing? I think so...
but it might just the fact we are getting information a lot faster and from parts of the world
we never would have heard about...

ATS is a great site... but sometimes it can mess with you...

The despair is high these days...
I do personally think its going to get way worse...

But you gotta take each day as it comes to you...

and isolate yourself at times from the world...

I been all up in the Flooding of the Mississippi thread since I started it...

My heart goes out to those people! but I know to take breathers,
so that it doesnt drill me to the point of depression...

It bothers me, yes... But i take moments to step back...

Sometimes we need to just step back and examine whats around us...

I'm not saying your a risk for suicide...
but this number is good to have on hand...
for anyone to have on hand

National Suicide Hotline:
In the U.S., call 1-800-273-8255

If you or anyone is thinking about taking their own life,
please call that number!
If you have decided to take your own life...
You don't have anything to lose by picking up the phone and dialing
1-800-273-8255

You don't want to ruin your chances of laughing at the 2012ers when nothing happens... right?

Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem

Be well my friend... be well

I hope that helps

Dear VicDiaz89

This is only your first stage wait till you get to the bit where you are thinking about how to do it.

The bit where you are envious of people of death row awaiting the lethal injection.

Or looking up at tall buildings and thinking how do I get up there.

How many sleeping pills will it take and where will I get them.

Good luck.

The recent disasters have added to these feelings...Tornadoes,tsunamis, floods and about 50 earthquakes all in such a short period of time..i live to the fullest every day and ive done this for years,i havent had any internal issues like these in like 10 years..Its like the entire world is destroying itself and NOONE except people on ATS are talking about it..

Really inspiring words there...

I hope they never hire you to talk the jumpers down...

Your ratio of jump/didnt jump wouldn't be too hot...

Yeah, well sometimes you also need to feel down. It's normal & natural for our moods to swing, so be there too, as long as you remember that there are "ups" and that there are always people love & need you (perhaps to get them through their dark spot).

Just for the record im not having suicidal feelings, its more like im sensing doom, and id rather die quick and painless than suffer through some sort of cataclysm or apocalypse..

I'll agree with that...

I relate music to every aspect of my life... so

There is a band i like a lot...

Called Pain...

they got these lyrics...

You have to feel real bad
Before you can feel good again
Drown before you can
breathe the air

source

and the meaning behind them is this...

In order for you to know what the real good things in life are...
in order to know what to appreciate in life...
you have to hit bottom.. you have to be down...

That way... when your on top... you will know it
and you will appreciate it
and you can respect it

Sorry about you mom
i know it was a while back...
but sorry

Dear EvolEric

There is little risk of me ever being in a position to take a jumper down. You will be glad to know.

However ones own death is one of the only things that one is in control of these days.

What is the long term dose it matter if one dies today of in a years time. In the history of this planet it is not the blink of an eye.

The game of life is hard to play, your going to lose it anyway. Suicide is painless it brings on many changes but you can take or leave it as you please.

The Stoic philosophers of ancient Greece held that life was a balance of ups & downs. As high as you rose, so you would fall.

They tried to overcome it by living a very "level" existence, neither pain, nor pleasure.

Well, they can stuff that, I'm with King Solomon who said that since life is the way it is, the best solution is to enjoy it, aim to please God, and laugh at the joke!

If it is going to be as bad as the fear mongers scream...
You will die within seconds!!! I've heard some frightening claims!
(none I believe in)

If its not you can laugh
and go on about your life
grow old and become fat
and be taxed for doing so

I'm gonna quote myself from this thread here

Dear EvolEric

Can you tell me then what is the point of this existence?

Unless you have made some great contribution to this world which very few are capable of doing you will be forgotten for ever in just a very few years, most likely less than 50.

What is the point of the struggle? Why try? Just pass the syringe.
