nope. I can't image ATS would ever charge for basic blog use.
Think twitter / facebook. "Free" services that are making millions.

No - the site does need to be paid for, but that's why God made advertisements. It pays for itself, the more traffic comes through, the more they get to charge for ad space

The way some threads have been disappearing and such lately I'm not totally convinced this site hasn't been bought out by the CIA with a gag clause in the contract. So definite no from me.

Unfortunately I would go somewhere else. I think if ATS started charging people would flock to other free sites.
