I still just love Basketcase...I know it's nothing inspirational or controversial...but I love it none the less

Green Day are a really poor band mate.. basketcase was a good song but their only good one imo.

No offence to anyone but America's got a pretty short list of good bands/musicians (asides from Hendrix, Dylan and all the blues greats like Muddy, BB, Johnson, amongst a few others). Listen to Stone Roses, Primal Scream, Beatles, The La's, Oasis etc..

Edit: I forgot to mention Tupac, NWA etc. obviously there's been quite a few but the total pales in comparison to that of the UK...
