Elmer McGuirt, 27, gave a note to a teller at a Wachovia Bank on Thursday demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Witnesses told deputies McGuirt then boarded a bus and began giving some of the money to his fellow passengers. Deputies contacted the driver, who stopped the bus, claiming there was a mechanical problem. When McGuirt got off the bus with the other passengers, he was arrested and charged with robbery.

Deputies recovered some money from the passengers as well as McGuirt, who had stuffed cash in

What a decent and heroic modern robin hood. He's giving the people what they deserve selflessly, he took the money out of the crooks hands and gave it to the people who truly deserved it... The average citizens getting robbed by bankers on a daily bases. We need more people like him to have a voice against the gov't's criminal status.

What is so sad and pathetic is the FBI goes after these bank robbers
but it's the banks that are doing the real robbing. Yet not a single one
of those bottom feeders has been arrested and put in prison. What a great
job the Federal Bureau of Investigation is doing. It's easy to see where
their priorities lie. I suppose they have become bottom feeders themselves.

The only good guys left are on the "wrong" side of the law.

I hope they catch that idiot and put him in prison.
I can't understand how people can like a guy who steals money, breaking the law, possibly even threating the people who work at the bank

What a disgusting piece of s***

Because it's much easier to be Robin Hood when you have nothing to loose.

I bet there were a few 'Merry Men' on that bus route!
