I also remember past Aprils having this amount of sunshine and good weather too. Seems to me like the CNN quote in the OP is a typical US view of our weather or something.

Well personally speaking, the weather has been glorious in my part of the UK for weeks, no rain, no overcast skies at all.

Also, I don't listen to or watch BBC in any form, too biased for my tastes.

I don't think it was Haarp, but weather modification has been used openly before for events like the Beijing games, and in Moscow to keep the snow out of the city.

Is it your opinion that the BBC may be so biased toward creating a narrative that they basically just made up the weather when reporting on the day? This is a real question -- I'm not ruling out the possibility.
