I myself would HATE to form some kind union with you americans and mexicans lol!! Especially become one country?!? WTF??

Sure hooplah with all the so called benefits and such, but really we would (most likely in a short amount of time) lose our identity as canadians, become some lame secondary american citizens no one likes, and would just carry all your screw ups and baggage that you have gathered over the years.

Our land would be exploited, as it already is, but once borders are dissolved even more so!, by the greedy corporations and the bunch of you, which would likely lead to the destruction of the wilderness and wildlife that so many people love about this country!

But hey, im sure even if they didn't establish this union, it wouldn't make a difference. Like many have already mentioned, the U.S is already a big part of the canadian economy, the bulk of are oil and resources go elsewhere (south) and do not stay here. Really, I believe our so called government is just a disguise for the real people in power, the US of A !

I think Australia will be next, free iron ore, free yellow cake and free Kangaroo's. What more could you ask for.

I am from Canada and actually am from Mr Hurtigs hometown and these guys were a bunch of nobodys.I disagree with him saying that Harper is trying to give Canada away.I do agree we have been giving alot of our oilsands away but that is private business and my province alone makes Billions of royalties on that stuff anyway.If we lived in a perfect world everything would be Canadian owned and made by Canadians and run by Canadians ,but we live in such a global world.I work in Ft Macmurray (oilsands capital)most of the time and yeah it does have even more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia if you got the right technology to extract it,so we goto the world or answers.I do believe we should halt expansion and keep it status qou for awhile and just let people just absorb the cost of less secure demand but then you got people who will complain because everything is inflating and it is a sad situation when struggling people are hit with costs.The happy medium is hard to find.I have it good because I work here live here but I really do feel for the people of the world who have to suffer oil wars and anything associated to the horrors of natural resource battles.So when it comes to this I would say yeah we are not giving Canada away it comes with a price,its not just like we are handing it over on a silver platter and it has formed a really decent friendship with the states and china and the rest of the world.Canada is willing to do business and its not like we are gonna give it all away.There is enough oil here for the world we just gotta go about doing it right,enviornmentally and fair.

I've been hearing about the NAU for years. Obama has not focused on it because his priorities have clearly been Socialising medicine and solidarity with the Socialist Unions. Energy is also a focus, he wants to promote green energy. However, Bush Jr did promote the NAU. I know it is desired by the NWO, just like the European Union was desired. They will allow the trucks to go from Mexico through America and on up to Canada. The trucks will not be monitored and they will run drugs and arms along the trans-corridor.

Oh yes, and I believe in National Sovereignty. For America, for Canada, for all countries. All the people who rail contdinuously against Nationalism do not realize they are really just promoting the NWO when they do that.Or they realize it and are actively for it. If we do not want NAU or NWO, then we must be for National Sovereignty of every nation.

Sorry, if Harper (ignorant neo-con little weasle that he is) even puts this out there in any way shape or form, he will see the first instance of Canadian revolt and civil disobedience. There is no way he would get away with an agenda like that. He will never get a majority for one thing, too many people hate his guts. Canada is a social democracy and will stay that way. Harper is under the thumb of large oil and other corporations who tell their employees to vote Conservative or lose their jobs! That's how he stays in power. It is his party who refused the Kyoto Accord, and who refuse to shut down the oil sands. Those corporations are what keep him in power - if you call 39% of the overall vote being in power. He cannot pass anything with that kind of numbers, without support from the other political parties. He might have something like that in mind, but Canadians like their sovereignty and their health care programs in spite of anything you have heard to the contrary. He is definitely extremely sneaky but I doubt that our country will stand still for a dictatorship like that. Since he came to power, there has been no progress in environmental stewardship, a big increase in military spending, a huge downgrading of our health care system, and mismanagement of government funds to the tune of $56 billion. He needs to go.

before I give my opinion I would like to know what the majority of Canadians think of Stephen Harper. Can someone enlighten me on what the Canadian majority thinks of this person?

Hey while were at it, Mexico can jump onto the US bandwagon too!!

If the NAU is successfull, we can start taking south American territories to make a Mega country called.... 'The United America's.' After this happens, we can then start taking in states that are in the Caribbean and Atlantic to boost our territorial influence and slowly creep to the east and taking in Euro states.

No offense to anyone, but if you can generalize all Americans as morons, then Canadians must all be morons who are even more pacifist and non-aggressive than Americans are.


We fought for our freedom from Britain, and created our own Constitution from scratch. Canada didn't ask the Queen of England for permission to make its own Constitution until the 1980s, and even then she had to approve it first, and they're still part of the "Commonwealth."


You see the difference?


In the time it took Canada to "rebel" from their corrupt masters in the UK, the US had already rebelled, then rebelled against its own self, and then became corrupt in its own right. We went full circle in the time it took Canada just to act like it was moving away from Britain.

Canada wasn't a country in 1776, the French were actually the ones that saved you check it out its why you have a statue of liberty (given as a gift from the French) and why the french have the eiffel tower (given as a gift by the americans) check it out in any history book or online.

I tried to keep up with reading all of this thread before replying, but it was growing faster than I can read!

For the last several elections, I made the effort to go to the polls just to spoil my ballet. I would encourage all my non-voting friends to do the same, and for some reason felt quite proud of the statement that I was trying to make (I just hoped that the one person who read my ruined vote and saw the "abovetopsecret.com" comment that I wrote on the ballet and would start looking into the farce called government). Yesterday at the 420 rally in Vancouver they had large banners that said nothing other than "Stop Harper. Vote May 2nd". There was no advertisment for another political party, no platform being presented or prosecuted, just the very straight forward statement. And I felt that this election requires my vote against that criminal (I know that they are all the same, but maybe, just maybe, we can put a delay in they're plan just long enough to gives us more time to come together and abolish this nonsense for good and start living the free life that we were meant to live).

And this post is all I needed to put in the effort and actually vote for someone this year.

It seems to me the downfall of the US and the banking crap is driven by the bank of England via the Rothchilds. Canada is a colony of Great Britian. Maybe this is a back door way for the Bank of England to gain more control of the US. Just sayin.

Just wanted to comment first on all those saying this is a good idea..thats crap...if this was a good idea it wouldn't be all secretive..I think I can speak for every sngle canadian or at least all those I know when I say that we are 100% against becoming any part of the states or being involved in any union...the american government is already raping us of our resources and with our government is just making the quality of life for us canadians much worse..the resources of canada..our oil, our water and our timber, etc should be ours!!! It pisses me off to see these americans saying well I for one want canada as our 51st state..I bet you do so you can rob us of our resources more so than you already have(And I know it's all the governments doing it not the people) We canadians will not allow this to happen. I have many american friends and appreciate your history but I am also very proud of my canadian heritage and don't want it changed what so ever.

I agree that we need to unite for this planet but in the right way...people should be proud of their heritage and the day we start ending countries sovereignty is the day we lose and the rich elites win..

Ok now that I got that off my chest we canadians need to vote green!! and pass it on because many people aren't even aware of the green party most just think it's a 3 party election..well the green party is the only party that cares for us..they aren't allowed to take part in televised debate..that should give us an idea of the kinds of things they are trying to do..when a party isn't being given any media attention in this day and age..you know they are doing the right thing..so heres to all canadians voting green!!we can do this I know of at least a 1000 of the people I know are all voting green!!pass it on and pass it quick the times coming!

Let's not be naive here people , the liberal party is just as guilty on this count . It was Paul Martin that got the NAU ball rolling and the current liberal party leader is for the most part an American and all globalist .

The best Canada can hope for is another minority government and what ever you do don't let yourself be fooled by thinking that either party is different on this issue .
