10 ATS Threads you (possibly) didn’t know about.

Well, it seems that the “10 most _________” threads are all the rage these days, so here is one about ATS.

Of course, many of our long time members have seen these, but with the influx of new members over the years I thought it’d be cool to introduce some personal gems that don’t pop up too often.

Of course, the list is not all inclusive of great threads; that’d be impossible. Instead, just some cool, albeit obscure ones, which members may find interesting, entertaining, educational, or all three. Enjoy.

Juston this is an excellent post IMHO. I'm a noob on ATS. I've seen maybe a dozen unhappy posts from seasoned ATS Forum contributors. Some waxed poetic for the good ol' days when post topicality was more to their taste. A few complained about noobs posting light hearted or fun threads even though they were in the correct category.

Your post takes the time to bring some golden oldies out of the closet for the noobs to enjoy and I think that's pretty cool. Feels good to see a positive attitude and a nice gesture from a seasoned ATS member. Hope the fever spreads!

After seeing Lord of War with Nicolas Cage, I was so happy I found info on ATS about Viktor Bout. Quite unfair that he was made into a scapegoat despite there being other illegal arms traders still out there.

Last one and again it's a Hellmutt thread. It's a coincidence but I like that Medvedev looks like Nikolai and Putin looks like Rasputin. lol


P.S. I think you can find some fascinating threads if you observe who the poster is and what they tend to post. ATS should have something "subscribe to this poster" or something unless they already have it. They have subscribe to this thread but I don't know about poster.

Let's not forget the prematurely closed thread which helped to skew the bias back to normal:

Yup it's one of mine but was certainly needed as the influx of candidates for the thread it countered was reaching epidemic proportions and the brain washing and cultivating groups were working their wares on those unfortunate enough not to pose their outlook in a critical light.

Easy my man. Add that member as your friend. Then in your profile go to "Friends", and it'll show you all the threads they have recently started.

Thanks for this thread Juston, and that last one truly is the least read. But you know, even those of us who have been here a while can get caught going against the T&C. I had a thread of mine edited because of a discussion of drug use in the 70's. Who knew? lol

Personally, I'd love to get an update about the Team ATS thread. It's been closed for close to three years now, and I often wonder what ever became of the promised "proof".

Did the MIB take it? Is it still being shopped around? Was it a hoax all along?

I don't know, but I'd be interested to find out.

The Stargates are real thread is what lead me to ATS what seems like forever ago. I read that thread in wonderment back then and was hooked ever since!

What a great ldea OP. "All roads lead to Rome" by Protoplasmic Traveler and The twice-born God: "They" preparing for the return of Apollo in 2012. by HothSnake are the two that really got me hooked to ATS. Peace starchild.

Great idea of a thread Juston, and sorry to sound shallow but i really enjoyed the thread where members posted pictures of themselves. I think it makes you put a different perspective on this medium of communication which can seem a little impersonal, its nice to see what people look like. Maybe this thread should be resurrected, i love to see if im correct in what i think certain members look like. True american and puterman i see as glasses wearing science boffins, et-man, for some reason i see as a football playing blond guy, unity99 looks like helen mirren, and Jakius Fogg, well i just seem him as looking like the guy in his avatar.
