Lets void forced "tolerance" as well.
People are free to dislike others for whatever reason they choose.

Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people would be added to the lengthy list of social and ethnic groups that public schools must include in social studies lessons under a landmark bill passed Thursday by the California Senate.
If the bill is adopted by the state Assembly and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, California would become the first state to require the teaching of gay history. Supporters say the move is needed to counter anti-gay stereotypes and beliefs that make children in those groups vulnerable to bullying and suicide.
Opponents counter that such instruction would further burden an already crowded curriculum and expose students to a subject that some parents find objectionable. The legislation, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Mark Leno of San Francisco, passed on a 23-14 party line vote. It also would add disabled people to the curriculum.

Lol, the nutjobs in CA never cease to amaze me.
How about spending more time on important subjects like math or science?
No, instead, gay history is more important.
Citizens are expected to TOLERATE each other, in society as well, however, we retain the Civil Right to DISLIKE each other, immensely if we see fit, thanks to the constitution.

Thats an oxymoron comment!
Civil rights grant us the freedom to like/dislike whom ever we choose. No where is it written in society that we must tolerate each other. Yes the Constitution grants us this pleasure. The whole reason why we MUST NOT tolerate each other, is the very fact that it goes against the very nature of people. Yes, it would be nice for everything to be rainbows and gay ( no pun intended ), but thats just not how it works.
Regardless though, forcing a society to learn about another's history does nothing for the students, especially when that particular history, ( in this case gay history ) has done nothing to be productive/constructive to society.
Teaching the students about gay history isn't going to someway find a cure for cancer....therefore, unproductive.

You simply cannot force someone to accept or tolerate something they disagree with.

Oddly enough, quite a few of those things you listed violate the rights of others in the process.

Passing acts doesn't ensure people will tolerate something they disagree with, . . .
