Never happened.

Sure it did.

Which bill was not available to read before being voted on or signed into law???

They were all available to read online before signing.

The confusion is that Pres. Obama made a promise to post bills for 5 days before signing ..."sunlight before signing" pelege and he has signed 3 bills in less than the 5 day window before signing....though they were all posted online a few days before signing. His people claim it has to do with the Congressional calandar and they are still working on implementing the 5 day thing, but politifact has marked it a "promise broken".

The GOP also broke thier transparancey promise where they said they would allow for 72 hours of public scrutiny on bills before signing. When they looked to defund NPR recently...they posted the bill Tues afternoon, voted Thursday....strangely they are also claiming it has to do with the Congressional calandar.

Either way...there it is.

Obama has to be the worst president in history, by the time I'm 18 America probably won't even exist ;__; I don't see why some Americans still trust this dumb POS. We all know what party he belongs to and that's the corporate party.

He claimed that he would reform healhcare, we got a corporate written health care reform bill. He said he would end the wars, but instead he sent more troops over and got us involved in another "not a war" war. He said he would return Habeas Corpus, but instead we got an American citizen assassination Program and an indefinite detention program. He said he would fix the economy, but instead we're just getting jobs at McDonald's, high gas and a lot more homeless and poor people.

How in hell can anyone still support him? Oh, and don't say he's trying, cause he clearly isn't trying hard enough, great leaders can take charge and do great things. Obama just isn't a good leader.

I just don't see how you people put up with this chit, I don't even pay bills or anything yet, but I'm already going crazy just watching my parents go crazy! Really what the hell is this? This isn't America, I saw some documentaries on the History channel and this isn't what America looked like in the 50's.

Yes, thank god for that.

America is much better today than it was in the 50's...ask any African American or any other minority.

Despite efforts by state-level Republicans in Wisconsin, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Maine, Florida and Indiana to curtail collective bargaining rights, the President has yet to appear at a single protest or picket line.

If Obama not being on a picket line is in the top 5...I think he is doing pretty damn good.

Perhaps he didn't have any comfy shoes to wear?

I find that whole situation laughable. He makes this great pronouncement of walking with labor and simply never expected to get called on it.

Caji316,

While I like your solution, in today's world unfortunately it would never work (or rather never be tried).

Something's going to give sooner or later. I just hope it isn't too ugly when TSHTF.

Peace.

Bush wouldn't have pulled a single soldier.

Americans wanted to help the people of Libya asking "When/Where are we going to help?", he delayed the cause for a month until the UN came to a vote and then was heavily critisized. He made a call, it was rejeceted by media/public.

Bush would have attacked immediately without UN consult.

Him and his administration didn't put your country in debt 20 trillion dollars. You want him to cut defense spending, like he should?.. You know how hard it is to make 310,000,000 people happy?...

If you really got change, you wouldn't like it. TAXES MUST be raised to pay off debt.. Sure that puts a damper on investment and risk, which create jobs, but it has to be done. Many other real day to day changes msut be implemented too,... but its change no one is ready for. It's coming tho..

I bet any money he will win 2012, Good, and I hope he gives you the real change you are asking for cause you certainly won't like it.

THE PUBLIC DID NOT REJECT ANYTHING ! ... stop lying ...

Where is the public vote ?? This Obama guy has done nothing new .. someone on this forum said it right .. Obama is just a talker ... yes we can do this ... and yes we can do that ...
People get mesmarized by his speeches because he is a good speaker ... in actual fact he says one thing and does completely the other by disguising it ... and making up phony excuses ...

If he knew Americans wanted to pull out of Iraq before he was elected .. why would that opinion suddenly change ..?? where did that decision to stay there come from ..??
Not only there .. but in Afghanistan .. and now Libya ...

Obama is buddy buddy with the insurance companies .. with his healthcare reform .. take preexisting conditions for example .. he told insurance companies that they should allow pre existing conditions .. and insure the person .. if they don't .. the fine is a puny $100 a month!!
What is that going to hurt an insurance company ..??? and you won't see his crap like this until you see the fine print .. so god forbit someone has a pre existing conditions ... the insurance company will still make them dance for years before paying .. by that time the person can be dead ..!
then just pay a stupid few thousands in fine ... slap on the hand ..

This guy has actually done NOTHING ... that is the reality ... he has just paid billions to his friends and election financiers in wallstreet ... even though they are at fault ... all he did was call an inquiry with few harsh words to pretend to people he is doing something .. backstage he's giving them happy endings ...

He was elected to STOP the wars and fix things at HOME first ... instead He has addressed NOTHING at home ...

Well, my mom is black, my dad is white, but I consider myself black and in America in the year 2011 I don't see a bright and happy life a head for me. I don't see why we can't have a good America and none of the racism and hate too.

It's just a simple look at your threads really.

This is just looking at your past 20 or so threads:

Threads about Democrats or Obama or "Liberal" issues...all negative:

Barack Obama: Losing $84 billion big success
Former CIA officer blows lid off libya fraud live on CNN
Maxine Waters (D) Slip of the Tongue Reveals True Intentions (Socialism for America)
Poll: Obama's approval hits new low
White House denies regime change is part of Libya mission
2 ex-Dem leaders charged in fake tea party scheme From The Detroit News

Threads about Republicans or "Conservative" issues...all positive:

Georgia Republican's bill would do away with driver's licenses
Ron Paul Talks 2012 Presidential Run: "I am Involved In A Revolution"
Ron Paul: No-fly Zone Over Libya Would be an Act of War
House to open new session with reading of Constitution
Senate Blocks Bill for Illegal Immigrant Students

I have no problem admitting that I support liberals more than conservatives. And from your actions and opinions it seems clear that you support conservatives more than liberals. So why not admit it?

Did you dare take the time to even read any of the threads listed above? my guess is not. Which further solidifies my comments on your " generalizations '.

By the time you are 18? How old are you?

The second part of that sentence doesn't lend credence to the first part of that sentence.

Not the greatest POTUS in history, but anyone who survived the Bush years can tell you he is not the worst either and despite me wanting more from my President the field of possibilities thus far appears to be Pres. Obama or the GOP crew of nut-jobs scrambling for corporate money and far right votes trying to one up eachother on who will punish the middle class more....

Here's hoping for better candidates by the time 2012 arrives, but if it comes down to the guy who has mildly dissapointed me on some issues or the raving lunitics that the Koch brothers have hired as hit men on the middle class...I will go with the President we have.

Pelosi's Quote:

But we have to pass the bill so that YOU can find out what's in it

Notice she doesn't say...so "WE" or that so "I" can find out what's in it.

This has got to be the number one quote taken out of context in the whole health care debate...because she was specifically talking about all the mis-information conservatives were putting out about the health care bill. Death panels, Socialism, 16,000 new IRS agents, the list goes on and on. Her point was that once the bill is passed, people will realize that none of that was true.

Do you ever wonder why all the clips of that quote, including yours, starts with "BUT, we have to pass the bill"??? I wonder what that "BUT" was refering too...hmmmm. Let's look at the full quote to get some context:

www.fireandreamitchell.com...

You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy

Health insurance reform is about jobs. This legislation alone will create 4 million jobs, about 400,000 jobs very soon. . . .

We must have the courage, though, to get the job done. We have the ideas. We have the commitment. We have the dedication. We know the urgency. Now we have to have the courage to get the job done. So proud that President Obama is taking the message so forcefully to the American people! This is long overdue, a hundred years.

Funny how all the clips never show the full context...it's also funny that online most quotes mis-quote it and say "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it" or "We have to pass the bill so that WE can find out what's in it". The mis-represent it to make it appear that she is suggesting that the congress men/women don't know what's in the bill...when that is not what was being said.

Now..having said all that. I had access to read the health care bill before it was voted on...everyone did. Did you not see all the talk shows that printed it off and had the large stack of papers sitting on their desk crying about how large it was??? And saying that it's so large that they can't read it???

It's hard to say that it wasn't available to be read before the vote when you had people complaining about how large it was and difficult to read.

A truly valiant effort on your part...but a FAIL as well.

I see you casting stones towards those whom you allege to support a particular party. (You may wish to check your mirror since it is completely obvious that you have chosen your party and defend it vehemently regardless of the facts.)

I guess you supported Clinton when he demanded to know the meaning of the word "is"?

Unlike you, I subscribe to neither party and tend to detest both. Both are nothing more than a smoke screen surrounding the same agenda.

Obama is as big a liar as either Bush was and as much so as was Slick Willie. Then again, getting into these debates regarding which POTUS is/was worst is a waste of time. They are mere puppets and are put in place to distract us from larger issues.

I see your conversation with our resident Obama shill has gone where they most typically go with said individual. There is a reason the "pet rock" was so popular in days past. While it couldn't answer nor truly converse, it also did not spew nonsense, BROAD generalizations nor party rhetoric thereby making it more worthy of your time to engage.

Like yourself, I am an independent and have little positive to say of either "camp". Unfortunately there are those who have chosen and will defend their party regardless of reality.

This thread really doesn't do justice to the BS Obama has spewed. He is no better than the Bushies and is actually continuing their agenda, albeit from a supposedly more altruistic stance.

Would you care to elaborate? Or are you just going to claim "FAIL" and not address any of the points?

I see you casting stones towards those whom you allege to support a particular party. (You may wish to check your mirror since it is completely obvious that you have chosen your party and defend it vehemently regardless of the facts.)

I don't believe I have cast any stones...I have fully admitted that support Obama and for the most part the Dems agenda. I just find it odd when others, such as yourself, are clearly in opposition of one party and in support of the other...but insist on claiming you are "independent".

Unlike you, I subscribe to neither party and tend to detest both. Both are nothing more than a smoke screen surrounding the same agenda.

If you truly believe this...why comment at all on either of their dealings? Why use one parties talking points in attempt to degrade the other party? Are you not doing that parties bidding even though you think both sides are bad?

Obama is as big a liar as either Bush was and as much so as was Slick Willie. Then again, getting into these debates regarding which POTUS is/was worst is a waste of time. They are mere puppets and are put in place to distract us from larger issues.

Your clip was about Pelosi...I addressed that clip...and now you are talking about Obama. You also ignored the fact that the healthcare bill WAS available for everyone to read before it was voted on or signed.

I am very interested to see the details in how I "FAILED".

My biggest beef with this guy, out of many dozen, is the fact that not only did he continue this outrageously expensive, pointless war campaign in the middle east.....

He went and started another pointless, expensive war in two other countries.

Didn't end any wars, only escalated, leaving our nation broke and our military weakened.

Didn't close Gitmo

Didn't implement any viable health care reform

Ran the deficit through the roof while doing next to nothing to address infrastructure, education and the humongous unemployment rate

Voted to renew and strengthen the criminal Patriot Act

Sat on his ass and did nothing while BP poisoned our entire southern gulf

I could go on and on and on...but the point is the man got elected into office based on lies. He played the people who voted for him like a cheap fiddle.

If I were a liberal I would literally hate this man because he has entirely made fools of all who voted for him, without so much as a shrug or an apology.

It was just a play on words from the original article.

I may be many things to many folks, but NO ONE has ever called me a Palin supporter. The reason is because my friends know I wouldn't vote for her no matter who the opposition was.

I usually like your posts dude, but man, this is just false. If they taxed Americans 80 PERCENT of their wages it STILL wouldn't pay off the debt because of the interest on it. The whole system is unsustainable and "free healthcare" is a lie too. People are still dying in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya...no matter how you spin it, his presidency is a joke.

You could tax the US citizenry 100% and still not have the monies to pay off debt and deficit.
