To be ambushed, you must expose your flank or forward line to a surprise by your enemy while moving.

With Obama, we have no movement.

We can't be ambushed, as we have no line of approach.

That dumb SOB has no idea what he's doing, what needs doing, how how it should be done. So if your CINC doesn't know his anterior end from a hole in the ground, has no clue on what he will need to do next, where, or how, then there is no way in hell for an enemy to be able to intuit our movement and then prepare an ambush alone out line of approach.

'Cause we don't have one.

It seems to me that USA are following the same mistakes the Soviet Union made, whether you are now being manipulated by the same hidden forces who knows but it appears to be pretty much the same game plan. What possible benefit can getting embroiled in wars of attrition bring? my best guess is some shadowy group wants to bring the USA down like they did the Soviet Union.

If we put ground troops in theatre and we are unable to extract them quickly without heavy loss, I would call that a text book ambush.

Putting them there is forward movement. Lack of exfiltration w/o heavy losses = ambush.

Your thoughts mirror mine exactly.

Add to this the total mishandling of our economy and a growing police state (TSA?).

I'm really loving Leon Panetta taking control of the Pentagon. He's definately qualified.

yeah. right.

Panetta Butter? THATS FREAKIN CLASSIC!!!

Who would I put in there?

1. Some one that had served in the military first off.

2. Someone not in the pockets of lobby's.

I couldnt believe they put this sucker in the CIA!!!!

It's like "Hey, would you like to play with us? You can be XYZ!"

"Wow! Really....OK!"

with this kind of guy in defense (a dove), I hope they bring our troops back home ASAP! This guy will not be a friend to the military. Defending our border? Not while he's there for damn sure...not that I would expect anyone else at the moment either.
