Thanks for the thread Rez and everyone else adding, very enlightening. I don't have any Aboriginal in me, at all, (pure white boy) but am going out into the woods to find self so this is a good read for that. Regret shaving my head now.

And sorry on behalf of the Canadian government.. The ego rules it and I find it sickening.

It does not matter what color your skin is. We are all brothers, this knowledge was not just meant for my people. Initially it was to keep it safe from those who wanted it destroyed. But it is my belief that it was not meant to be kept secret throughout these times we are in. How would this benefit anyone in the long run? How would anyone know there are in fact two choices when all the world is focused on only the worst possible outcome? There is still time to change and the world is going through this change as we speak. We are throwing off the chains and awakening in large numbers to the truth. People know in their hearts something is terribly wrong with the world and do not know what to do about. Turn away from the path of destruction embodied in the materialistic lifestyle we live in today. Demand change, not change of rulers, because they will only find someone that will fool us more effectively.

Something I said in a thread earlier about protesting, I think, fits in here, as well, as a response/addition to this...

When someone or a group of people gather to protest against something -- for example, a nuclear power plant -- all they are doing is wasting time, energy and resources, which could be far better placed in creating something new... something to give back to the world. In this way, they give, instead of take,

If you protest, the energy you waste only feeds the monster you are going against, not destroying it in any way. If that group of people, in the example of a nuclear power plant protest, were to pool their time, energy and resources together to create a new way of generating power, and making it available, freely, then they have given something to the world and created something new. Creating things is part of why we're here, right?

So, if you want change, it starts with you. And that means, doing something new. Throw a pebble into the pond of your life to create a little chaos, to bring a new order into your life.

My wife and I feel very strongly about settling on a piece of land and using a large amount of it to set up aquaponics grow beds, to grow as much food as we can, not just for ourselves, but for anyone that needs it around us. With an acre of land, or even less, it's quite possible to grow 6000 pounds of food, both vegetables and fish, without taking up any resources to do so, beyond feeding the fish and using the sun.

Why that is not done everywhere is beyond me... with a simple setup, using a few 55 gallon plastic drums, some pvc piping and a few simple parts, you can grow as much food as you need. I'd love to set a system up to show people that entire communities can do it together and feed themselves cheaply, organically, and without much maintenance at all.

That's creating something new, and, I firmly believe, is the type of "creation" that Mama Earth would appreciate.

Thanks for sharing, I have never heard of aquaponics before. I will be researching this heavily. My basic understanding at this point is that you need ponds for the fish right? I knew there was a reason I didn't want to go to sleep yet lol just couldn't put my finger on why besides everything that is apparently wrong with the world. The reason I am so excited is because for the last week I was wondering how would the people on my reservation survive once something ever did happen. Food would run out soon, power would not be too much of an inconvenience as survival would be the main goal. This has kept me up at night at times. When I read your post it dawned on me. There are acres of fish rearing ponds here for the tribal fish hatchery. They are only used for fish to help replenish the lakes at the moment. It's amazing how answers you seek can come to you. Most times you have to look hard and wait for the answers. This is one of the times it didn't take very long. I am currently studying renewable energy as my part to help the people by joining the old knowledge with the new. Technology isn't evil, the way in which it is used can be. If people would simply take the time to ask themselves if what they were doing was right or wrong and chose to do the right thing we would not be in this mess.

I am not sure if you have looked up the information on Aquaponics yet, but if you haven't (and for those that are reading here and have not, also) I can explain the basics...

Aquaponics is a combination of hydroponics (growing plants in nutrient rich water) and aquaculture (growing fish in nutrient rich water).

The problem with those 2 fields is that, after time, the water has to be replaced, due to it going bad via the waste products of the fish and plants.

Aquaponics combines the 2 fields into one, making a really great system for growing.

An easy set up to do this all would be to take 1 55 gallon plastic drum, slice it in half long-ways, and have one half be for the fish to be in, the other half for the plants. The "grow bed" willl have a growth media like rocks, gravel, lava rocks, etc. Not soil. Rocky material.

Via a pump, you circulate water from the fish tank into the grow beds, where the plants are "planted." As the water nears the top of the growth media, set up a siphon pump or another type of drain to drain the water from the grow bed back into the fish tank.

Why this works is this: The fish, as they are living, eating and pooping, create a lot of ammonia. This is normally toxic to fish, as well as to plants. However, through natural processes, a bacrteria will grow in the grow bed with the plants that converts the ammonia into nitrogen. This nitrogen fertilizes the plants big time. The water is then filtered naturally by the growth media and is, therefore, safe once more for the fish to live in.

You can keep recycling the system over and over with automatic pumping systems, or even solar-run pumps. ANY fresh water fish will work for this system, even goldfish! If you use fish that are good eatin' like catfish, bluegill, tilapia, etc, then you not only get fresh veggies that grow SUPER great and really fast (like.. lettuce in 25 days!), you can also harvest the fish for food, as well.

You could set up so many of these tank/grow bed systems on a small amount of land and get a LOT of food out of it, cheaply, easily and with not a lot of effort once it's been set up and going. You could even do it indoors with grow-lights.

It also works incredibly well during the winter time in greenhouses, using solar heaters (look those up for free heat! man, talk about hot air in cold weather for no cost!).

I heard about a guy in Philadelphia that is using this tpye of setup and getting over 1 million pounds of food a year out of it. He set it up as a community deal, so he's not alone in doing it. But that same idea can apply to your tribal lands, brother... Set up some of these systems NOW and start feeding your people!

If you need some more info I can give you more, and would be so glad to do so.

Actually, just remembered, there's a good vid i was able to find a while back on YouTube that you can see the setups first hand as well as some of the results possible. This vid is basically excerpts from a DVD someone made about the whole thing, so it's choppy, but it's a great intro to it all.

Spread the word about doing this, seriously. It's, I think, some of the most important info to know to get yourself independent from the system and start making a real difference.

ETA: Mods, I hope you didn't find all of that too off topic, but it's important info and I thought it salient to the topic, since the main focus of the prophecy is for everyone to start making changes for the better.

I wanted to do this seperate from the aquaponics info above...

See, this is so weird, because just a couple hours ago my brother and I were talking, and i said almost the exact same words about technology as you did there.

The way TPTB have been using tech is the wrong way to go. We need to have a balance in technology that is designed to not just take, but to give back, as well. That's the balance that nature looks for.

When a being dies, the body goes to the ground, and in that way, the balance is restored, because what they took during life is given back.

The same can be said about systems like aquaponics, since, once you have eaten, the leftovers as well as your waste can be given back to nature via compost/etc. That compost can even then be used to heat up water to be used to shower or cook with, by coiling pipes through it and using the natural heat generated by composing to warm the water.

In that case, the balance is equalled because you have taken nothing out to heat the water with, and the water will return to the earth in one way or another That's contrary to current tech standards that use electricity generated by power plants to heat the water, since, in that case, something has been taken to generate the power, then giving you electricity, and you've given nothing back to replace what was taken. Make sense?

That's the kind of thing I think needs to be thought about consciously, and, honestly, what I think Mama Earth would like to see. The natural order of things is to have a balance, and that kind of system stays balanced.

That's what technology should focus on, and in no way can that be considered evil, to me. How things are now? it's otherwise.

I think it's very admirable of you to do this for your people. I am not officially affiliated with my tribe, so cannot help them I guess
But I do feel the presing need to DO this stuff, and soon!

Acorn flour i have never had the opportunity to try, but I definitely want to. Dandelions I adore lol
The greens are awesome, and i love dandelion fritters (frying them with batter). I've had pine trees
Pine needle tea is so awesome.

I've had cat tail roots before, but never tried any other parts of it. I think, now that I know it's ok to eat (lol) I will have to give it a shot!

As a matter of fact I was doing some research on aquaponics and decided to check in here. I also feel what you have brought to this discussion is very relevant. Knowing the prophecies is very important, making the change more realistic to people is also very important because without the knowledge to do so few will act when they see no alternative to the system we live in. A task is much more efficiently accomplished when you have help. I don't have all the answers, but other people might have some of them and most of my time as of late has been spent hunting it down lol Thank you again for all you have shown me. I'm ready to call it a night. I accomplished much today, goodnight

I would like to be welcomed to join your discussion. I have no intentions of any derailing, but of contribution and of learning. I bring with me only my experience, understanding, and a willingness to learn. However I am of mixed Caucasian decent, so please forgive my ignorance as I try to find deeper meaning as to why I have been drawn to this board.
I awoke unusually early (4:30am). But was compelled to read, instead of crawling back into bed and sleeping in some dumbfounded stupor. Many times I found myself observing signs in nature and feeling a real connection to the earth. I lived away from the area I was raised, the entire time I only longed and wanted to be back into the Appalachian foothills. My life has changed many times, always being drawn to another stage of bettering the situation I was in for those around me. This last time was a tearing away of the very fabric of which I thought I was suppose to be in. Then at that point I made a brave decision to come back to my roots. All for being back to fulfill what I always knew i would do eventually. I came back just as my 98 year old grandmother was seeming in stable health, was able to spend some 18 months staying with her between work assignments. I was able to afford lesser expenses in order to accommodate providing more time with her before she passed. I knew she was not comfortable approaching this inevitable time, but my being there was what we both needed.
Now when opportunity presented my being able to leave again, I decided not to go, then my own mother's health has changed, as well as the earth's demise dwells on the horizon. I was educated specifically in modern technology, for which I now detest with my utmost being. I have found to use my more traditional skills of cooking, caregiving, and quilting as a way of getting by. Read my signature now please. That is what i am trying to determine. I am interested to the self sufficiency and sharing for community betterment that does not contribute to the foul that industrial technology has created.
I had very long hair, enough for two sets of donation to Locks of Love. Before I moved back, my life changing event moved me to cut my hair. I detest cutting my hair at all, bothers me to the core. But as a way of shedding the past, I donated. I am now on my way to getting it longer, and feel a balance is returning by leaving it alone.
I will watch the vids on hydroponics and begin studying it more. I have raised gardens in the past, often to my surprise how little effort it takes for the yield it gives. That provides great joy and saves in the wallet!
The thread title prophecy fires, drew me in immediately. I felt an innate understanding when reading the fires. I have had some prophetic experiences throughout my life and have always tried to follow the nature of that messaging. If ever human beings were going to be able to preserve this Earth from our own damages, we are now resting on that cusp. We have reached that point where if nothing is done, there will be no returning. So I want to thank you for creating this forum, as it has began to define my next life ambition. To contribute to the restoration and advancement of healing of the earth and sustaining in such a way it can be a positive motion and not detrimental force.
Peace, Love, and Light for a World that is crying out in pain. It shudders under the duress. I have found one person can make a difference how ever small. Planting the seed of suggestion grows into a might oak. So for my community I will drop a simple acorn, and nourish it and be mindful of my own impact on the world around me.

I come to you with open mind open heart and open ears,
your sister in threads,

I would like to state again, this knowledge is not just meant for native peoples. This is meant for everyone, without you, we cannot help the world. I personally think the number of my people trying to help is not enough. There need to be many more of my people to do enough to help our brothers and sisters of the world. Something I have been working on lately. I could not stand and watch anymore, I needed to act. Some I've talked to here on the reservation expressed fear of attack from the government and the various radical armed factions within the united states when this happens. I offered my opinion to many of them, It goes like this..."When the time does come for all this our best option is to use our weapons for defense only. We were led to this land by our prophets long ago according to the ojibwe migration teachings and seven fires prophecies.I have no wish to kill anyone. Nor do I think this is the right path for us to follow. Do you think the creator will forgive those who embody the way of life that has led to all of this? I personally do not. I say do our best to help our brothers and sisters around the planet to find their way onto the red road that will lead to healing, forgiveness and love the way our creator intended from the beginning. They have lost their way. Will we help them or turn our backs on them? That being said we must not lay down and offer our lives for the taking either." To which one of my friends replied " Man..we gotta vote you in" lol he has said this many times but I told him "I mentioned I'm not rich right? Nor do I possess any of the corrupt qualities it takes to win. I chose a different path," Think about this, if we kept this secret and only my people change, what good does that do for the world if it doesn't turn away from this destructive path?
To sunflower star I would like to say that any thoughts you have are welcome here. And to Jomina and DanBones when you feed into the negative enough you make it a reality. I have thought about a lot of the staged disasters of late and come to the conclusion that if these evil people are behind this, they are deliberately creating this negative energy in hopes of expanding and feeding this negativity to make their own desired outcome a reality. I can't imagine the possibilities of a human race united in peace and love with our emotions projecting these positive energies instead of the current negative energies running the world today since it has never happened before. I'm not talking about a corrupt NWO controlled false peace, I'm talking about a real and lasting peace built on love, understanding, acceptance, balance with nature and a rejoining with our creator.

Exactly, one of my friends is not native at all (by blood) but his heart is truly native, he even runs some local sweats here, and is very much walking the red road. So, my point is that I agree, I have known pure white people that are more native in their ways of life and beliefs and thinking then some natives I have met when I lived on the Rez.

Oh man, I can't stand when people say that we (american indians) descended from asia. I actually got a test question wrong in high school when we were asked where did american indians most likely come from A. India B. Africa or C. Asia, I didnt even answer that question, thus resulting in a WRONG answer because this shouldn't be on a test, this is just some theory. I was ticked off and even told my teacher how I felt about that question. Many of our tribe's names mean First People. How do we know that American Indian's did'nt migrate to Asia instead of visa versa? Its like a chicken or egg first type question.
Peace,
Marriah
By the way, not many have heard of Ojibwe, and so I always have to say, "Im Ojibwe, the translation you are familiar with is probably Chippewa"

I agree.

While visiting one of William Commanda's Gatherings in Maniwaki, I was impressed by all the different ethnicities that went there to join in dancing, sweats, ceremonies and the various workshops. The camp was a sea of tents.

A bit more proof can be found with my wife and I. If you read the thread here, you can see me talking about her increasing visits by the animals and their spirits, and getting some serious communion going with them.

She has absolutely 0 native blood. She's as white as it gets lol

But her heart? Pure Native. Always has been and always will be.

I think, especially as things are progressing faster in the world, things are opening up to allow everyone to start coming together to survive or die. Fight or flight, kind of deal. That which has been hidden for ages is starting to come to light and anyone with a heart for it will be welcome to it. Make sense?

I see a near future that has the old ways being combined with new and creating something amazing.

I don't know if you know much about Edgar Cayce.... But here is some of a reading that might help?

****************************************************

16. As to conditions in the geography of the world, of the
country, - changes here are gradually coming about.

17. No wonder, then, that the entity feels the need, the
necessity for change of central location. For, many portions
of the east coast will be disturbed, as well as many portions
of the west coast, as well as the central portion of the U.S.

18. In the next few years lands will appear in the Atlantic as
well as in the Pacific. And what is the coast line now of
many a land will be the bed of the ocean. Even many of the
battle fields of the present will be ocean, will be the seas,
the bays, the lands over which the NEW order will carry on
their trade as one with another.

19. Portions of the now east coast of New York, or New York City
itself, will in the main disappear. This will be another
generation, though, here; while the southern portions of
Carolina, Georgia - these will disappear. This will be much
sooner.

20. The waters of the lakes will empty into the Gulf, rather than
the waterway over which such discussions have been recently
made. It would be well if the waterway were prepared, but
not for that purpose for which it is at present being
considered.

21. Then the area where the entity is now located [Virginia Beach
for rdg.] will be among the safety lands, as will be portions
of what is now Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, and much of the
southern portion of Canada and the eastern portion of Canada;
while the western land - much of that is to be disturbed - in
this land - as, of course, much in other lands.
