Hatshepsut's seagoing ships documentary is on bbc4 now, on a subject iv followed for a while, the seafaring aspect of ancient egyptians. Even mentions the one found near the cheops pyramid. Should be good!

oh i was watching the footie... so what the down lo on the programme.
im really only interested in finding the ship that sunk with the coffin from menkaures pyramid....thats the only relevant ship that NEEDS to be found!!!

Not as good as id hoped, not mentioned that at all yet, but focusing on reconstucting one from a bas-releif. It seems a bit odd not to mention Menkaure though.

I've been watching it, it is facinating.

They really were very skilled. I wonder how many attempts they had at building a boat that stayed afloat.
