last night I got surrounded by cops

Same thing happened to me a few years ago.
It was when my car was busted and I had to fire up the chevrolegs whenever I needed to go somewhere. lol

It was like 10. pm.
First one cop car pulls up..
Says where you going? what you doing? why you doing it?

I said Im coming back home from a friends house, what's the problem?

He said...
We have some calls about someone walking around with a "concealed baseball bat" threatening people.

I said, well, One, I dont have a bat (not even a concealed one) lol
and Two, I don;t threaten , or bother people.

"Well just stay right here" he said.
about 2 minutes later another cop car pulls up (an SUV),
and a minute after that, 2 bike cops stroll up on their huffys. lol

Once all of them arrived..
I was asked to "empty my pockets", remove my hat, and remove my jacket.

I said.. look, is this all for a good reason? or are you just bored, and decided to harass the lone guy walking down the street, minding his own business?

The one cop said.. "look, we already told you why we're here, are you going to co-operate?

I said, am I NOT cooperating?

Give us your name, ID, where you live, DOB, etc etc..

I said ok, name is, address is, DOB is, etc etc...

Then I was asked again, to "empty all my pockets".
( I had a small amount of cannabis in my pocket, so preferred not to) lol

Then said..
You guys know Sheriff --------- ? (my brother)
2 guys said yeah we know Steve, why?
I said, he is my brother..

I presume then that you know Judge --------? and Judge -------?
One is my father, the other is my uncle..

Should I call them? or can I go home? "I can have Steve here in a few minutes, Im sure"

"Just sit tight for a minute" one said.

The talked amongst themselves in a little huddle for a minute,
Then only one came back to me and said... "ok, you can go home"

I said, that's it?
Im suddenly not "the guy" you were looking for?

"we just got word that the guy with the bat was found a few blocks away"

Funny that....
as not one of their CB's went off saying that the guy was found.
and I would have heard it, from any of them. lol

Bottom line.,..
They (most cops) just like to harass people.
Until they discover that some people may have some leverage ... lol
( or that said person may indeed know their rights, and the laws which govern them)
((unlike many cops))

Most of the Sheriffs ive met, are much cooler, much more humble, much nicer and more professional than any of the "cops" I meet. lol
