I agree PB is good for you. I prefer the au naturel version. It's expensive but it's good. The name brands are ok but they are full of oils esp in the creamy.

I have always like peanuts esp boiled ones so it's only natural I'd love pb in the spread form.

Now I really want some PB

Creamy, or as we call it here, smooth, and without added sugar!

Peanut butter with added sugar is an American abomination that has been imposed on us here in New Zealand for the last 4 years or so...

As an aside, I would like to ask why Americans need to have everything so sweet? I loathe Hersheys and chocolate (candy?) bars made in America, Twinkies and the like. Too much sugar in everything!

We don't need it here, we're sweet enough...

CREAMY! Definitely! I like non-interrupted goodness. I don't want my creamy experience to be interrupted with chunks that I have to stop and chew. I like to pretend I'm diving into a huge barrel of delicious creamy peanut butter and I don't want the rocks sticking out, ruining my fantasy!!

My husband gets organic peanuts and grinds them at the store. That's our peanut butter and it's divine!

BTW, I was Mr. Peanut for Halloween last year

Now that's dedication to a legume! You look nice. Creamy.
So, do you prefer "peanut kurious" or "kinda peanut"?

I have three teenage sons, and we go through a lot of peanut butter. I alternate buying crunchy, then smooth, so no one gets tired of either one.

I'll answer to either BH. Surprised no one has mentioned PB and honey or bananas. Yum!

Peanuts provide an excellent source of protein..................nah, not that kind of thread.

Maybe not, but I use a tablespoon of creamy in my protein shakes, and because I drink it, the chunky doesn't work so well.

A chocolate protein shake with peanut butter and honey is just the thing to get one moving.....

Skippy Crunchy was the isht until they removed it. I used to love making fluffer nutters with that stuff. Now I have to suffer with Creamy fluffer nutters. But Jet Puff + Peanut Butter = WIN!

Quite HOW you can CONTAMINATE peanut butter with jams or jelly (isn't that jam?) I really do NOT understand.

That is plain and simple sacrilege, a defiling of the food of the Gods.

:shk: Strange people!

Is it wrong that I like my peanut butter sandwiches with crunchy iceberg lettuce? They're very refreshing, but people seem to look at me weird when I make them

Peanut butter is also good in celery.
I find the idea of mixing peanut butter on bread with jam, honey, or bananas
It gives it too gooey of a texture.

I like crunchy, because it feels more natural, but I like creamy for making peanut sauce.

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are considered a separate and essential food group in my house....my youngest son rolls a banana up with peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) in a soft tortilla and calls it a "cold monkey" (as compared to a hot dog).

It's not wrong if you like it...I've never tried PB with lettuce, I'll be open-minded about it. My kids love apple slices with PB on top; especially with a tart apple like Granny Smiths.
