Well this is interesting to say the least.

Lets see...the SEIU donates $27mil to Obama and now they get a pass?
These guys spend decades shoving this down our throats, and now they want an out?

Three local chapters of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), whose political action committee spent $27 million supporting Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election, have received temporary waivers from a provision in the Obamacare law.

The three SEIU chapters include the Local 25 in Obama’s hometown of Chicago.

Seriously what a joke!! Push to get it into law then opt out!!! I think we should give them a waiver of a certain finger.

They are not the only ones to get exemptions.

See the full list Here

What is the point of universal health care if not everyone has to participate, or put into the fund? Its like Social Security. Joe Public is required by law to contribute and participate, but government employees, including the politicians, have their own retirement "plan

Yeah were selected alright. I guess what concerns me is what exactly we have been selected for.
And who is to say this is only temporary?

Thanks FlyersFan

I heard rumblings in the past, just was not up to speed on it.
Should I post this in your thread?

The information is already there. Feel free to add to that thread and yours as you see fit.

The big thing is this ... Obamacare can't work unless everyone is forced to go with it .. and even then it is unsustainable. All these waivers tells me that it's not going to go down the drain even quicker than we thought. (and it confirms for me that it's just more politics as usual in DC .. no hope no change .. just Chicago style politics and payoffs with entitlements and waivers)

Gotcha. Ok I am just wishing that all of the people who were screaming for years that
this was the answer were here right now.

Somehow, its all just so wrong...they were the ones screaming for it.
They get it, and now they dont want it!

I was going to reply earlier, but ran out of time.
I can't believe (or maybe I can) how quiet this thread is.

S&F from me.

Its a strange thing is it not?
Years ago the pitch grew to a fever, cries for nationalized healthcare.
Now that its here, no one wants it.

The silence is deafening.
