Please have a look at the high resolution color images of the Moon from the NASA Clementine mission.

I have just scratched the surface and already found what may be a monument with a humanoid figure sitting on a stool facing a smaller seated figure and a tablet. Coordinates 7 S, 324 E. An aqua-colored, conical tower complex can be seen at 14 S, 318.1 E. Gem-like domes or dishes are everywhere! This is probably the source material used in Jose Escamilla Moon Rising and other moon color films.

I've posted more images here at ancientfuture.info

Clementine images have been available for a while, but its not common knowledge how to access the high resolution versions.

Go to this web page: astrogeology.usgs.gov...

or Anonymous FTP: pdsimage2.wr.usgs.gov,
Directory: /cdroms/clementine/Clem_NIR_V0.1/
from there navigate for example to /data/.cdroms2/Clem_NIR_V0.1/DCL_5011/cl_5065/browse/color/large/
get ni24n315.jpg (Aristarchus Crater)
get ni24n315.htm (navigation page with Aristarchus Crater)
get ni24n309.htm (image just east of Aristarchus)

I think your title is a little bit sensational.

Yes i see what could be domes, but they're most likely craters. Yes I see what could be structures, but they're most likely just natural rock formations. As for the monuments, ya lost me there

What exactly makes you think these aren't craters and random geology?

You consider the photos you posted as "Hi-res"!!?!? As in Hi-Resolution?!?

Wow - at least John Lear, Mikesingh, Zorgon post moon stuff with pixels smaller than a football stadium.

Umm - got anything a bit HI-er res than these??

Thanks for posting (I guess). (?)

Thank you Zorgon, those images are beautiful. My OP was just a tiny corner of a larger image. I'm exploring the dataset now ... will post more soon.

Why bother? You blew it with your OP, you spoke loud and didn't say a damn thing! Look at the replies you've received because your thread title has been misrepresented. You're not going to find any " Monuments, Conical Towers and Gem-like Domes". You're just dreaming and thinking that you can fool us. You've failed. Better men have tried and they also came up short.

If any mods are reading this, wrap this thread up, it shouldn't be allowed to continue, nothing here to discuss.

Here's what Aristarchus Crater really looks like, not that fantasy blue image that's obviously been colorized.

Shrike, your gray scale Aristarchus image demonstrates why this USGS data archive is so important. The public has been misled unto thinking the moon is gray by color desaturated images. The conical towers of the OP are in blue at right. lunar coordinates: 318.1 E 14 S

Tou canot even be serious.
Can you. ?

Granted..
I also see nothing of "importance" in the OP's post..
But still..

I would think that if one owned a telescope..
They would know at least a little about these things.

Even if the Great pyramid were sitting on the moon, facing earth..
You still wouldnt see it with your dinky telescope.

I have access to a 20inch, 30 inch professional telescopes..
and not even they would be able to pick it up in an "easy to see" manner.

Why anyone would think they could see actual structures on the moon (which Im sure are there).
with their little hobby telescopes.. is beyond me!

But then..
So are most things that the "masses" think, or believe.
People just amaze me...
