Okay Potential Loughners. . .Let's Take A Break!

In considering that the main stream media, now stating that Jared Loughner was a member of or subscribed to "alternative news", anyone known to be a member of ATS will automatically be branded a "nut-job". Guilty by association. I am sure that we all have at sometime or another reached a point where after reading something here at ATS we felt an anger towards the world and the governments. This is absolutely normal. In fact, I seem to remember that it was hailed that to have the freedom to criticize our government is one of the things that keep us from the bonds of dictatorship. Many people died for the rights we have today, and many people have killed to have those same rights become "privileges", which are then rescinded when the government decides to remove them.

If you now say to anyone that you're a member of this site, those that are the sheep will see your participation in domestic terrorism. If the president said today "Okay, this guy read stuff at this site, and as a result ATS and similar sites must be shut down because people died!" who could argue with him!? Honestly?

If those of the world who subscribe to only what the main stream media presents as the only truth, then all members of an alternative news site are potential terrorists, and would then love to help Obama close this site. .because sites such as this are endangering their lives as they see it!

So, ATS writes up a little statement stating that Erad3 could possibly be Loughner. Why would you do this? If I knew Loughner was posting here, I would never have said anything that might help the government to shut down my business. ATS is not responsible for the deaths, an individual is.

If this guy had stated that he did this as a result of a code he discovered in the bible, would Obama then ban bibles?

So, if you're on the edge and are angry at the powers that be, and you want to go and shoot someone or blow something up. . .don't. We now see how much negativity this guy has brought to our sane little site.

So. . .take a break. Try to watch The Simpsons without looking for encoded messages. Do something outside or with your family. Forget that the New World Order is even a thought. Just let it all go. . .and remember NOT to try and kill anyone.

Just a question. Since when do we care what the sheeples are think about us? Sooner or later we used to be right in almost every possible cases. So, who cares what the sheeps are thinking or saying. It never crossed your mind that even the mainstream media have journalists who like to dig deep and would've possibly found Jared's connection to ATS without an official statement from the site?

Besides, even if they did look here then first of all, sites like this have been ridiculed before with those subscribing to certain theories and thoughts as nutjobs. Second, they'd see the outpouring of support on here for the victims' families and every member distancing themselves away from what Jared did last saturday.

It'll all be forgotten about once the media storm, investigation and outcome have taken place and then unless something truly groundbreaking is talked about on ATS, I can't think of many media outlets that would care about this site pretty soon.

the very fact that you would insinuate your fellow members of being anything like this is sad. That's like after Columbine addressing your class as potential murderers personally I think this guy was one in 1 in 50 million and not in a good way.Sure we have all sorts here but personally I think that it's great. Some are into spirituality some are into aliens some into the evil government and some are into ghosts. While the rest of the outside world views this stuff as hogwash it has a home here without judging well without judging sometimes and I think people need to vent that they saw something unexplainable or are putting pieces together of something behind the scenes in our government because we have a lot of smart people are who can point out the faults of their logic or maybe give them another reason why these things are happening. what you are doing sir is adding fuel to the fire and you should be ashamed of yourself. Back on topic: Wasn't Loughner a schizophrenic? That's a physical disorder, so this site would have almost no effect whatsoever on him going off the deep end. It may have made him more paranoid once he jumped in with no water wings, but schizophrenia is not caused by your environment if I learned anything in Psychology class. Obama would get eaten alive by the psychological/psychiatric community if he closed down all conspiracy sites because of this, and that would make it pretty obvious that he is just using the shooting as an excuse to silence the 'crackpots' around the country/world.

I that scenario I could see how ATS handled the situation proper. Had ATS remain silent about it, then much more negativity would be made against the entire site, and all its members.
