Sanders Fundraises Off Arizona Murders

This afternoon Sanders sent out a fundraising appeal, seeking to raise money to fight Republicans and other “right-wing reactionaries” responsible for the climate that led to the shooting.

He writes:

Given the recent tragedy in Arizona, as well as the start of the new Congress, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few words with political friends in Vermont and throughout the country. This woman is still in the hospital, and I really can't wait to see what she says when she wakes up.

Really, what would you do if you were in her shoes and woke up to see the political madness going on around the country over you?

I would probably resign my office with a public statement on the insanity, write a book, and try to sue as many of these morons as possible then donate the money to a charitable cause.

Sadly as long as the human race exists there will always be evil men and women who try to profit from tragic situations.

This news is weighing pretty heavily on me, and I posted it. I just keep coming back here in disbelief that this dirtbag is really this open about using this tragedy to line his pockets.

I guess using the shooting tragedy to try and take down Palin and other "enemies" of the left wasn't outrageous enough. Now a democrat - and avowed socialist - senator is trying to make money off of the dead and wounded.



Can't wait to see if any dem supporters show up on this thread to defend sanders.



So far, I'm very proud to note that none have come forward to defend sanders.

Honestly I hear all this talk about rhetoric, and how it caused this killing spree. The facts don't support it whatsoever, because only ten members of Congress have ever died by the hand of another human being, and most of those were duels. I just wonder, faced with that fact, why we care about rhetoric and not this?
