Scientists Create Genetically Modified Green Pigs

www.indianexpress.com

In a world’s first, scientists claim to have created a new generation of genetically modified pigs which they say are greener and fit for human consumption.

According to its creators, the Enviropigs look, sound and taste like normal pigs, but are designed to be greener — each contains genes from mice and E.coli bacteria which have been inserted into their DNA.

Green Eggs and Ham?
Not that kind of green but envirogreen.

And safe for human consumption???, no thank you.

Enviropigs have been designed to produce their own phytase, say the creators.

In tests, Enviropigs were able to absorb more phosphorous from feed. Their wastes had less of the potentially toxic substance and their meat also appears to be identical to cuts from traditional Yorkshire pig.

I just dont think this is a good idea, one of these days this is all going to go wrong, well that is if the Pole Shift does not come first.

Yes, I wondered about that also when I saw the headline.

Heh, whats appetizing about pigs with DNA from mice and e coli?!

Although I am sure its perfectly safe...yeah.

Why would we want enviro friendly pigs?

What is wrong with normal pigs that have been with us all this time.

Do you guys think these scientists are of particular religions?

Don't eat pork.

That would be the real environmental thing to do.

This GMO nonsense is genetic pollution.

Lol...

You know... Pigs were created in Atlantis by combining human DNA with that of wild boar.

At least, that's the word on the street.

I'd say North America is following the energetic archetypes of the Atlantean period.

This reminds me of experiments we did at school with E.Coli bacteria. We put a GFP-gene (green fluorescent protein gene) into their plasmid DNA. This causes the E.Coli bacteria to synthesize GFP and makes the bacteria light up fluorescent green when blue light is shone on them .

I remember seeing a picture of pigs who also contained the gene in their DNA and who appeared green underneath a UV lamp.

Here's some interesting info on GFP if you're interested:

Wait a minute ......

If these pigs are "absorbing" more potentialy toxic material .....

Where is that ultimately ending up ????

mmmhhhhmmm
