The Bush family name was originally Scherff. Prescott (Scherff) Bush, along with some large industrialists, made an attempt to overthrow the US government in 1933. They believed the US should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini but the plot failed.

Thanks for the link my friend, thats great, I only investigated as far as the connection between Prescott and Hitler, I was unfamiliar with the silent coup of 1933, Im off to read that now. It would be interesting to see if the PNAC, or rather its members have similar lineage and perhaps a connection to the present as you suggest.

Italy, USSR, Iran, Japan, Hungry, Romania, Bulgaria were all involved with Nazi’s. Finland, Iraq, Thailand, all worked with the Nazi’s, though were never directly involved. San Marino, Yugoslavia, India (Provisional Government of Free India), Burma, Manchuria, Inner Mongolia,. Many countries where the Nazi’s or the Axis powers had either taken control over, or influence of were all somehow directly involved or working with them during that time frame. Even Spain, it is well documented, allowed the Nazi’s in to fight in their civil war. Along with some South American countries during that time frame, all benefited from their association with the Nazi party.
It is known that the US, did indeed capture and work with scientist from the Nazi party, to include those that would help send and put a human on the moon along with the technology from such. The Soviets and all of the allied powers benefited from that as well. If you look at the original pact between the USSR and Germany, then look at the map of Eastern Europe, you will see that many of the countries that the USSR had taken over, remained in their control long after World War II was over.
We should not forget the past, and those who choose to acknowledge the past or those who it would be considered as hero’s should not be condemned or forbidden to, as it is their right to do such. We can not say no don’t cause of the ideology of a few, nor should there be any resolutions as to such. Many of the countries with close association of the Nazi party, would do well to remember such, as this kind of bill reeks of trying to bury the past, so it will not be remembered by anyone.

Er - maybe... I recall reading in 2003, that Prescott Bush, Dubya's grandpappy was prosecuted in the 1950s for his business dealings with Nazis throughout WW2...

I seem to recall that we pardoned most of Hitler's best minds and brought them home to work for us. a.k.a. Project Paperclip. en.wikipedia.org... Also, the Russian's did most of the heavy lifting, as far as turning Berlin into a parking-lot.

I don't see any similarity with the US and the Nazis at all. The Nazis cared about their people, had effective jobs and an effective socialism in place to benifit it's citizens. It was not all selfish imperialist capitalism like the USA, which sees it's own citizenry as expendable fodder, and won't even close the border to protect it's citizens and maintain it's national heritage. The US's "socialism" is all about welfare checks and no jobs and pure dependency on an ever dumbing down society. The Nazis were not like that at all, they had high education, and unity of national will and advancement, while the Nazis were advancing to a utopian advanced society, the US is falling into an impoverished uneducated well of 3rd worldism.
