Just one more thing to add...

Every single person that has, or tried to blow up/hijack planes has been between 18 and 40 middle eastern men....

Does this guy look middle-eastern to you????

Now give your head a shake.

but to what end??? More draconian measures wouldn't stop the fools from not paying close attention to the xrays??? Not that that would stop the morons from trying to use it as an excuse to take more draconian measures...

Wow, if this snuck through for realz, then imagine how easy it would be to strip it down to components and wrap the components in tinfoil to get them through.

Make no mistake, the TSA adds 00000000000.0000000 security to the flights.

It doesn't really matter who it was... The xray scanner TSA agents, don't even know whose bag is what, they are supposed to be looking at EVERY bag just as diligently. It wouldn't matter in this case. The only thing I can think of is that they weren't paying attention to the bag and instead were looking at the laptop itself, which is supposed to be in a separate compartment, or they didn't stop it from being left in the notebook bag and the bag was situated in a way as for the notebook to cover the pouch that contained the gun. It is plausible that it slipped through, but that's because the people who are willing to work for 12.50 an hour part time for two years are careless morons or don't feel it's worth it to pay as close attention as they should.
