Lenins ghost is translucent green with envy.

Now the mindless hordes can instantly single out anyone who doesn't conform to the police state standards.

It's no longer just big brother. It's everybody.

As much as I love my comp and cell phone and such this new tech is putting way too much power in the governments hands. The only thing saving us now is the vast amount of info they have and the ineptude they have in using it. If they ever get it worked out we are screwed

hmmmm

couldnt criminals use this to distract police even easier?

example: you want to rob a bank, you get a few friends that have these phones to report some non-existant disturbance on the other end of town, then when the police are off responding to that you rob your bank.

before, this was less feasible because one had to actually call and speak to an officer to inform them of a (false) situation.

now it can be blamed on cats, stuff in pockets touching keys, or little brothers and sisters fiddling with the buttons.

or what if everybody just started reporting our criminal government for all the crimes they commit?

This is national-socialist functionality. In 1933, the NAZI's rounded up over 100,000 dissenters through word of mouth accusations. If you were wondering how they would round up millions of dissenters here is a preview. They already have a list but this will help grow it. This plus the Big-Sis "If you see something, say something" conditioning campaign are previews of what is coming.

Yes, such a use, opps sorry, abuse of this system could well render it unworkable. Lol!

Oh my..... I don't have a phrase strong enough to express my disgust and fear at this technology.

And my friends want to know why I have a older basic cell phone with the GPS location hacked out. A computer that I regularly change the NIC in and use a public Wifi that changes routers regularly. Not the best and a pain in the butt. However best I can do at this time. And I live overseas not in the Land of the Free.

Here come the Geheime Staatspolizei and Staatssicherheit.

HMMMMmmmm Seems like a GOOD time to report Apple for UnAmerican Activities.

We had a neighbor (from Sweden) who would have LOVE this. She routinely walked around the neighborhood and reported everyone... Unfortunately she missed the mass murder next door but she did manage to get him ticked off...

Ok, for the ignorant - Apple does NOT create every app on the itunes app store, just as Google does not create every app on the android marketplace.

So really, a boycott against Apple will just make you look silly and ill-informed. Boycott the app's developer instead.

well one thing is
It shows how some of us who have been trying to raise the flag
re what the situation is all about
have been correct
makes you wonder about the people who haven't

PS a bocott will likely get the response of
what have you got to hide

They probably didn't create it, but they are selling it. Marketing something implies support of it.

There is no "probably" about it - the app is created by "Citizen Concepts", which is NOT Apple.

There is no active marketing for this application, it's simply listed within the app store - and i'm sorry but this line of thinking that implies Apple's support is just silly. You can find a galaxy of applications on the store that are not endorsed nor supported by Apple.

This is the free market at work people.

Oh come on. When was the last time an ATSer let looking silly and ill informed get in the way of a good debate?

One of the customer reviews:

Apple has approved this?

by Jason Hatfield

I made iphone apps for a living and once was asked to remove a burp sound by Apple. I am happy to see that domestic spying is ok and burps are not. Thank you Apple for being there to stop me from corrupting the world with burp noises. Who is surrounded by suspicious activity so much that they need an app? I'm all about public safety but I also know how to use a phone. This is only feeding into paranoia and will only cause pain. I doubt this will lead to anything positive.
.

They're really getting called out in their reviews section. At least we know this isn't very popular among the people

Well, I guess it all depends on who each person perceives the criminals and the terrorists to be, lol!

Lets face it, if they want it to be "See something, say something" you guys could run crazy ape bonkers informing on crimes of the government and PTB, their daily acts of domestic terrorism.
