Very blurry..
IMO, it has nothing to do with Jupiter..
Could be there's a hill there we can't see and a flashing light on the hill...

Your link is malformed.. can you possibly re-link ? (Nevermind, you've caught it)
Got to say that it's not what I expected.. and except for a laser (or light) catching condensation (and.or particulates), the only other thing running through my head might be what are known as 'sprites'. But sprites dont generally occur in frequency in the same area (I may be wrong on that tho)..
Anyway.. I found it (the video) interesting, especially considering that the light 'appears' (at our pov) to have different angular appearances.
edit on 12/6/2010 by JohnnyAnonymous because: OP caught it while I was typing a query to fix link

What's great about this video, is that the videographer calls his friend on speaker phone, live, during the recording and asks his friend to verify, but his friend says he can't see it.
This is an EXCELLENT form of investigation. So kudos to the videographer!
As for the light...who knows. Some good suggestions have been posted already.

Just a quick question, does anyone know where exactly this was filmed, what temperature the ground, and the atmosphere was in the local area at the time?? These things may help. There are various unusual atmospheric affects that happen when weather and other conditions are just right, this could be one of those.
Also, I am no expert on photography , but this video seems to be of the lowest possible quality , I was wondering if any of the predominant imaging experts on this site would be able to clear it up. Unfortunately , I do not know thier names
Any how, interesting footage, but I wish I had more information !
