Hello there.
So A introduction.
This might be more of a rant/introduction so ill just go from there.
Ive been reading and fallowing a lot of story's on ATS for a while.
Yet only created a profile a bit ago.
Its the only place i seem to get a break from the rest of the people around me and actually get a chance to talk to and be around a thinking group of people.
I may only be 17 but since i have screwed around in school and may not also look the part that agrees to society's standers.
Your looked upon as a punk ass kid.
Most people are are so oblivious and stupid. No one really has morals anymore.
It all the same with every kid. Its come to the point i jsut wanna snap.
For example, I went and seen a movie today with a friend. Just couldn't take everything at home.
Crappy day everyone has those.
Well i'm in this movie, just tying to have a good time, trying to except form reality.
Then this huge group of kids. Around 16-14 in age come and sit around us. Note no a pack movie its been out for a while and also R rated. The hole movie they wouldn't be quite i asked them a couple times and even got the people who work there to be quite. They just couldn't keep there mouths shut. It came to the point that the security had to come and kick them all out. to the point they just made a bigger commotion and i flip out and just start screaming. they escort the kids out and they wait for us until the movie done outside. These kid fallow us to the car and try to start something. Ive come to the point that i just cant take it.One thing leads to another and Sure enough the kid learned his place. Im not a violent guy. not at all pretty relaxed just trying t get thought the days.I might just be over acting and just rambling but i don't know.
All im trying to say is Im thankful for a decent group of people that have common sense and hope some morals.
This place is a relaxing way to talk and letting things go.
Hey it might be a bunch of conspiracy's and what not,
But i love this place. Its my escape.

You'll find a plethora of opinions on this site that may produce the same reaction...just take a deep breath.


And most out there do indeed have their head up their ass, but it's not your job to square them away...you need to focus on you - and yes, easier said than done, but hey.

im 17 to and i feel the same way. our generation is gay and all the music sucks theres no validity behind any of it. so thanks for this post man its good to know that im not the only one out there that feels this way

i know exactly what you mean. im 18 and its nearly impossible to find people my age or even within 5 years of me that want to talk about anything besides drugs and music. nobody gets deep anymore. i mean sure, id like to talk about random stuff just to fill the time, but we live in an age where all knowledge is readily accessible and technology is unprecedented. think about what one of the founding fathers-jefferson adams franklin, take your pick- would give to be in our shoes in the age we live in. and you want to talk about funyons all day?(figuratively speaking)

i get it, i do, and i dont want to be eyeball deep in serious conversation all day but is it bad to want it every once in a while? is it bad to have deep, meaningful conversations with someone? the kind where you realize exactly what the other person is talking about and youre on exactly the same page? that 'aha' moment..or even debate...

ugh. i really feel like, with everything we have there for us to learn anything about the world, that being uninformed or narrow-minded is just being lazy. obviously there are people who dont have the internet or access to libraries, hell even food for that matter but theres no reason for people our age to be so ignorant(excuse the harsh term, it just describes it best.).

people just have no concern for others' welfare or happiness, and its really sad.

stay strong, dont let narrow-minded people get to you. violence isnt the answer either...but that just comes with time. : )

You hit the nail on the head. Its sad its very sad.
Its all the same with almost everyone.
And it gets annoying very quick.
Its almost like everyone try's to be the next person.
So they just fit in place, so there not outcasted .
Not alot of people speak there mind because they try to share a mind with everyone. there doing it, then allright i will.
I find this generation extremely spoiled
