Notice that there are 100 point swings, with no data to back it up.

Do you feel this is a glitch, or are they trying to hide the real stock slides?

so far, none of the other tickers seem to be acting up.

Yet cnn keeps acting weird.

It usually updates to the minute. Last update was at 11:23 AM. No further data

There are no 100 point swings shown on that graph.

There is an initial drop, and some bumps up and down that are more like 20 point differences.

With yesterday's close at $11,092 (and assuming that that is accurate), it would seem that in the first example (above), the computer simply could not accurately subtract.

Of course that, in and of itself, is curious is it not? LOL

I noticed that, that is why I find this so interesting.

Either cnn needs to fix there ticker (to keep people from panicking) or something is going down.

My bad I see what you're saying now. I was looking at the graph's visuals and not the large numbers. Something fishy is going on. Maybe it's a problem with their system, but this could also be a part of something bigger. Not sure.

Yes, another thing I noticed is if you refresh the ticker, it initially shows 1.2-2% decline, then corrects itself to 1.04% within about 2 seconds each time! Still not sure what the cause is.

No time left today, but I'm waiting with bated breath to see what yahoo will do (or won't do...)

It feels immanent, whatever it is.

is there another overseas market that we can watch to see if theres is a correlation. like the demise of the Euro or russia and china not trading in the dollar and these are the effects. I am just curious how all this is effecting us? and what the cause of the jumping is?

www.businessinsider.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...
or maybe this thread has something to do with it? IDK just searching.

I have looked at several stock market tickers and all of them (except cnn) consistently have the stocks down around a 1% drop.

So my thinking is that this could just be a computer bug.

However, why don't they just come out and tell people there is a bug in there system? I would call this a major bug, if it is actually a bug!

Thanks for the link by the way. I for see something happening soon.

the thing that keeps BUGging me (LOL) is how can bug just all of the sudden pop up where there were no problems before, a software change or upgrade maybe but not likely.

there was another bug like this that popped up recently in a thread, I dont remember what it was about or the thread though it was the same deal a system that was running fine, just Bugs out LOL again...

added another link to my previous post to a thread here that is on the same money track.
