great ufo song from 1947

they say artists think associatively and therefore see things others don't first. this is a pretty old song. makes you wonder...

"and though war may be through

perhaps this attitude is why the government knows they have to keep it all secret.

I was born 6 years later than this song, I don't remember it but I bet my parents do, will ask them tomorrow.

Interesting that this was 1947 when Roswell happened, I bet there was a lot of talking going on as it made Headlines in newpapers all over the U.S. and of course it retracted, too late. I imagine this song was written because of Roswell.

A hilarious-sounding song by today's standards.
However, this is definitely a prophetic song and so timely, even for today.
'Flying saucers' entered our human conscious in 1947 with the Kenneth Arnold sightings on June 24, 1947 and, of course, the Roswell incident on the weekend of 4th of July, 1947.
When you come to think of it, everything seemed to have begun in 1947:
the CIA, the NSA, the Air Force, etc. etc.
