The American police state is going to make a East Germany look amateur if we aren't careful.

Hey this guy googled Islam, that enough for us to draw his financial history, the books he's checked out or bought, his children's grades and watch him with his own web cam!

Oh wait, now that we have a stream of data from every major company in the nation we can ascertain his wifes panty size, how often he refills his Viagra prescription, how much toilet paper he buys, all of his "discreet" purchases, whatever we want!

Hey, we already blackmail pimps and drug pushers and take bribes, let's just blackmail this guy too! Yea! If he tries to fight we can put in him the slammer on trumped up charges. Surely we can find something in his entire life to humiliate and destroy him with, right?

Prepare to live the life of a zombie, it's much easier to control you when you are held at gun point, more-so if the gun is invisible and omnipresent. (remind of you another scare tactic?)

Carnivore, Patriot Act, now this.. Soon your entire life will be public information, if the Feds decide it is useful to their agenda.

Do not trust in man, he is not good, he is inherently evil.

Well, thanks for answering my curious ramblings. They've always had their hands full with the gangs, white supremacists, etc. and I guess it's chic to focus on "terrorists". When it comes right down to it, tho....gangs, white supremacists, etc. are also terrorists in their own genre.

Books from Yemen?
Man, you are some fool

Lol yeah I guess I am. If you want to learn about Islam go straight to the source! I ordered these books from some random website and they literally took about three months to get to me but you should of seen the box sitting on my doorstep lol. It was beat to hell and back. It had been cut open several times and tapped time and time again. the label was even taken off cause you could see where the glue was originally on the box. All the books have ISBN numbers on them and they can be bought from amazon etc but I am cheap and waited 3 months to get them for free.
Either way I would probably be added to the list.

Wow, this is new to me. I am almost tempted to fill out an application to see what happens. I think I would get rejected because I have been arrested more than once, unemployed, a college drop out, a member of ATS and even though I have a decent military record I am sure I was flagged for being a free thinker thus not a good slave.

This is crazy stuff.

"to prevent hostile acts against the United States"

Should be "to prevent hostile plebe action against the Federal Reserve and GOP/DNC duopoly"

Yes kids, join Infragard.. "the man", er I mean your favorite rich Uncle,.. Sam.. has lots of presents to give Santa.. but Santa needs to know who deserves Uncle Sams attention. Santa needs a list of naughty dis-loyal American terrorist pieces of crap, and obedient patriotic Americans.. ho, ho, ho!!

Dad, can I join Infragard to help Santa!!.!? so he won't forget to come down our chimney on x-mas!... maybe if I'm a good rat-fink I'll get an Uncle Sam present!!? I want a million dollar TARP bail-out, a solid gold Haliburton x-box, and TSA spy glasses to see boobies!

No son, it's not polite to be a rat.. besides the chimney was foreclosed on and dads unemployment ran out.. Santa wont be stopping by this year. Will Uncle Sam bring me a present then? Well son, we'll know the man is here when he kicks in the door and shoots Fido & Fluffy.

My eighth grade social studies teacher warned me about this sort of thing a long time ago. He told us what it was like living in countries, like the Soviet Union, China, Nazi Germany to name a few. Countries where you have to watch what you say and do all the time. It's sad that it's come to that in the United States, land of the free. Not a free country any more.

So......not to discredit ATS, but I have to say the "reality" of this makes me second guess my involvement here regarding posts and such.

Seriously man, unless you are planning to blow something up, murder a few people etc. you have nothing to worry about.

The only way you can know people are going to do these things is to spy on people. It's not like people go to the local coffee shop to plan things so everyone can overhear them.

Here is a snip.

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, the InfraGard Atlanta Members Alliance will host our Annual Meeting from 9:00 am – 11:00 am with networking from 8:30 am – 9:00 am at the offices of the Atlanta FBI, 2635 Century Parkway, NE, Atlanta, GA. We will have a speaker and some chapter business to be conducted at the meeting, including how we are re-shaping the structure of the Board, Officers and working groups to better serve our mission and enable members to get involved. FBI Special Agent T. Michael Williamson present a case regarding Combating International Terrorism on U.S. soil, involving the recent case in Atlanta involving a Georgia Tech student.

Following our Annual meeting, for our members who choose to do so we have been invited to join the Atlanta chapter of ASIS in a joint meeting This meeting will begin at 11:30 am and will cost attendees $25 to attend.(Cost to cover lunch costs as is typical for ASIS meetings)
The topic presented will be on the Radicalization of Prison Populations. Members of the Atlanta Chapters of ASIS International and InfraGard will meet to learn more about this emerging concern from Wendy Kilpatrick, Sr. Intelligence Analyst, U.S. DOJ, FBI and Bureau of Prisons representatives. This panel presentation and discussion will afford attendees first-hand access to law enforcement officials who study this issue daily.

They have meetings all the time. This is the kind of stuff they discuss. you can find this info anywhere on the web if you look for it.

When you say to further better your mission, what do you meen?
What is the mission?

Great.. Just great. First..If anyone did'nt like you, they could call Child Protective Services,(CPS) and you had to prove your innocents of any wrong doing and were under investigation, just because someone made an anynomous call.. Now it's on a criminal invertigation level?
Great.. Just great.

i looked my local IG up...its 150 miles away

www.infragard.net...

Welcome to Columbia, South Carolina InfraGard

InfraGard is a non-profit alliance created with the goal of increasing our Nation's security through enhanced awareness, communication, and cooperation between the companies and agencies that comprise the critical infrastructure of our country. [...]

So, as i'm understanding it, this organization is only 'affiliated' with the FBI...
therefore its a privately held company which will give members a discount price
to seminars and other how-to events they sponser.

I have to wonder, why isn't the IG company a part of DHS (homeland security)...

i will keep investigating...but the sense i'm getting is that this is just another LLC
that suckers people in with their infrastructure vigilence gobbledy-gook...
If Ventura is in it, promoting it... then its a home for wanna be junior sleuths, and you can
be a volunteer or a unpaid Intern to former FBI people or retired Military Officers,
Police, CIA, or any of the other leadership[ that are retained at a residual compensation==
(a sliding scale of compensation depending on the status, public profile, brought to the IG table)

i does seem strange that some meet-ups appear to be at regional FBI offices...
or else pseudo FBI offices---i just can't determine which.... just yet

PS: (i will not invest more than 2 hours of my time on this mission)

I just started reading the new threads about the DHS/TSA memo of 11/23/2011. I immediately thought of this thread and thought I'd bump it. Like I was saying earlier, better keep your mouth shut, head down and don't make any waves or you'll be in big trouble.

This is becoming a surrealistic nightmare, and it's too late to flee to Switzerland.
