[email protected] Picture-Phone Forum We're going to get started with a slow roll-out of this service... This is an exciting new service for our members from AboveTopSecret.com. Any approved member can immediately create a new thread by sending a picture from their camera-enabled cell phone. Our ultimate goal is to have three means to create threads form your picture-phone. AboveTopSecret.com If you see a conspiracy-themed item that needs to be discussed (Denver Airport?), simply snap the shot and send it in. The picture-phone forum on ATS will be for images related to the conspiracies we discuss. ATSNN.com Are you right next to news-in-the-making? Scoop the world by sending your shot immediately to an ATSNN submission. BelowTopSecret.com Want to just show of what you're doing? Send any other shot to our BTS picture-phone forum. (The same rules apply for any other post, members posting porno will be immediately banned without warning.) Anonymous Picture Posting If you're not a member, or haven't yet been approved for picture phone posting. and still think we need to see a picture you just shot, anonymous submissions are accepted, but placed in a private holding forum for staff to review. Here's how to get started. We need a few early volunteers to help test the core code which has been developed from scratch, so there may still be a few bugs. I'll be picking five or six members to help make sure the software is working correctly. Simply follow steps to become an approved picture-phone submitter: 1) Send a picture from your phone: to [email protected] 2) Send a U2U: letting me know you just sent a submission -- include the e-mail account your cell phone used when it sent the picture, and an additional confirmation e-mail address you want to use to receive notification messages (you receive confirmation of the file name when the post is accepted). IMPORTANT: Make sure your phone is configured for sending pictures only! Attached audio messages are already causing some problems -- that's it -- Here's how it works. The only way to create a new thread in the picture-phone forums is to be an approved member, and submit from your picture-phone. Once you're an approved member, you send your picture to one of the three forums (email addresses coming shortly), a new thread, authored by you should appear within seconds. To add comments to your picture submission, just enter them in your phone's email subject line not the message field. When you have time to get to a computer, go to your picture phone post and edit the default subject line and add your comments to the picture post. Then, if on ATS, send a request to one of the picture forum moderators to move your post to one of our topical forums. The ATS picture-phone forum is for receiving posts, then moving them to the correct forum. Your picture is renamed with a unique time-stamp and saved in our upload directory. Your picture-phone submissions do not count against your upload space. If you've sent more than one picture on a subject, simply place all your pictures into one post, then alter the subject line of the posts you want removed to "delete me" and our staff will clean up the mess. Use this thread for your questions and comments on this new feature from ATS. [edit on 28-6-2004 by SkepticOverlord]

Awesome. I just got a picture-phone last Thursday. Ultimately my car decided to break down the next day which i had a gut instict it would even though it had been working fine until it broke down...

Was it gut instict? Psychic abilities? A thought created problem? Or simply, i'm getting something new, i'm paying for it, somethings gotta go wrong and make me broke again...?

Anyways. I'll prolly snap myself a few pics of the Boeing plant here in Melbourne under the Westgate bridge where apparently they apparently used to make secret aircraft during WW2 with the Americans... And also apparently were meant to be made underground....

Nothing. I'm ignoring the body since so many providers add their own crap to the message it will be impossible to know what is the standard "message from blah...blah..." stuff that gets automatically added, from your comments. So using the subject line for quick information, then logging in to ATS to add more is the most reliable solution for every possible phone system. ALSO, BTS NOW WORKS www.belowtopsecret.com... For approved users, send to [email protected] [edit on 28-6-2004 by SkepticOverlord]

the only problem is, on nokia 3650 and other nokia im sure, you cannot include a subject. so us nokia guys dont have a way to comment on it w/o using a POP3 email service. thats why i asked you if you could have 2 mobile addresses for 1 user. that would enable us to have some kinda explanation/comment for the pic if we were unable to get to a computer.

Awesome, almost like the CNN and NBC!!! All we need next is satellite phone coverage, and our own television station. Then we'll rule the world!!!!!!!!

We've had a couple members using SprintPCS which, as it turns out, doesn't send a MIME-format e-mail but instead sends an HTML e-mail with an in-line link to the picture on a Sprint server somewhere. The code has been updated, and we're still testing SpringPCS ... but we're not yet able to accept immediate submissions from Spring users. [edit on 28-6-2004 by SkepticOverlord]

That was going to my question.

I was trying to send a picture to the email address you mentioned directly from my phone but the only I can send you the picture is if I log into my SprintPCS account and send it from there.

Will that work?

It would be good to have some sample code to work with, first, send it to [email protected] as if you were sending it to the mobile@ account. (I have two other members supplying source to experiment with.) Then send me a U2U when you get the chance.

Try it. As long as it's a standard format e-mail with MIME attachement, the code should find the JPG image.

I have a question?
What about digital cameras I have on in my car all the time as Im all ways looking for well who knows would this also be aloud in the future

The whole point is to allow for the immediacy and honesty of snapping a picture with your camera-phone, then instantly sending it to broad publication. If you have a digital camera, you can snap your image, go home, transfer it to your computer, scale it, save it, upload it to ATS, and create your post. Anyone with a digital camera can already do that. Imagine an army of ATS-geeks all over the world, snapping events as they happen, as they see them, with no bias toward anything other than getting the truth published. hmmm...

SprintPCS We should now be fully compliant with the SprintPCS method for sending pictures via e-mail from camera-phones. [edit on 29-6-2004 by SkepticOverlord]
