Signs of Fresh N.Korean Nuke Test

english.chosun.com

The U.S. is taking a close look at recent signs of activity at North Korea's nuclear test site following claims that the North is well on its way to developing nuclear warheads small enough to fit on a ballistic missile.

There are fears that the North will conduct another test aimed at developing high-performance nuclear weapons as part of efforts to consolidate the succession of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's third son Jong-un and to become a "powerful and prosperous nation" by 2012.

David Albright of the Institute for Science and International Security, a U.S. think tank, said at a seminar hosted by the Institute for Corean-American Studies in Washington that the North may have already developed small nuclear warheads that can be fitted onto ballistic missiles.

After Kim junior was officially established as the successor to the leadership on Sept. 29, the North's Vice Foreign Minister Pak Kil-yon told the UN General Assembly, "Our nuclear deterrent can never be abandoned, but should be strengthened further."

It seems the US is the only one who do not want peace.

This war has been going on long enough, and I'm sick of US not wanting a peace treaty. We all know why, because it doesn't effect the US, and it gives the US an excuse to occupy South Korea even longer.

If North Korea had the capability to attach nuclear warheads to a ballistic missile, the Soul would've been vaporised by now. As the Russian foreign ministry suggested, with support from the Chinese, North Korea is preparing for war.

Why would they prepare for war, when they are already in war??

ZZ

People still sleeping.

Ask the US why they don't want a peace treaty, and want the north and south to be like this for ever??

Yes, I know the two nations are still at war. I'm referring to a nuclear conflict - which will inevitably occur. It is China's worst fear - North Korea striking first. How could you retaliate? scores of nuclear strikes? China certainly would protest and veto any strike - if nuclear fallout could drift into their borders.

The North Korean regime is collapsing. Jong-Un will be a puppet.

Now this is some scary ish.... WW3 in the making.... and I dont see any fear mongering in what I just said, but you know that these actions are open provocations. Do N. Koreans not value life?

The war in Korea is still technically on going.... They never signed a peace treaty or officially delcared end of war... It just gradually slowed down.

Why would N-Korea nuke the South, for what purpose>?

It seems the media has done a well job making the N-Korean leadership look like psychos.
