can you survive: SHTF

i seriously have a problem with survivalists. anyone who claims that title has simply painted a big ole target on their back. never call yerself a survivalist folks. farmer, redneck, hick, country person... anything but survivalist.

I remember Y2K very very well. I really don't want my life or yours disrupted in any kind of tragic scenario. I don't want people to suffer. I don't want people to die. AND I most certainly do not want to try and survive on roots and berries in a devastated landscape because that would mess everything up for me and Everyone. I want to Believe that everything will be fine. Maybe everything will turn out right in the End. Nothing wrong being prepared but how would anyone know if they can survive today much less than SHTF? I hope we all make it to something better where the term SHTF becomes as odd and obsolete as Y2K. Who Can Say?
