I just knew it. We all manifested this end of days crap. Ha ha, believe it or not, we create our own reality. So whatever you all think will happen, will happen. And won't, won't, so on and so forth. We are divine spirits on a journey to some other place, maybe not ufo's, maybe not gods, but we are all here for a reason, we all have a purpose. Some days I think that isn't true, why are we here?? Who knows, only time will tell. Good luck all, take it easy, resist the NWO
haha. PS, chill out, life is just one big ball of fun. Live free or die.

Doubtful.

It's just a great pic.

Also shows you don't need ultra expensive satellites to get a good look at the sun.

So two filaments are making a very rough ring shape, I don't see the big deal.

And all I asked is if it's happened before.Reasonable question I thinks..
I think the sheer size, 400000kms scares some..

jeesus.....well...i have been having dreams about something like this happening. In one form or another. I was on or near the beach and had this overwhelming feeling that something was about to happen. The feeling i felt was that of everyone on the planet waiting for something to arrive. I hope it wasnt this. I have been paying attention to the solar activity. And havnt seen anything like this either. lets just hope that ATS has made a back up generator for everyone of there family memebers!!
grrreat thread btw.

I used to have recurring dreams of running through a wasteland like in the future in Terminator. Across giant fields of discarded tires in a grey world.

Well...I think I will get a bottle of Jack. If it is near I hope it is painless. If it is not painless well it will be painless for me and Jack. : D

Filaments have happened before, coronal holes have happened before.

If two filaments have formed a ring of sorts before, I don't know but it's akin to trying to find two identical cloud formations.

As the article at Spaceweather says, the lower part is a filament connected to sunspot 1112.

The top part is a coronal hole I think.

Solar wind from that is on it's way to earth and will arrive on the 19th - 20th.

Honey were having guest for dinner... dont forget to get the good china and silver out.

thank god there isnt a full moon out this week i dont think i could handle people effected by this and a full moon.

I for once am looking to the regular Debunkers here to put my mind at ease, because I agree with other members that this damn thing is aimed right at us and it does look kinda scary. Almost Sci Fi surreal or something.

I hope it goes away soon whatever it is.

History channel has a show on regarding the end of days. They talk about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar. An interview occurs with a scientist who describes massive solar flares are expected in 2012. He goes into what effect it would have on the earth.

Or wait maybe its conspiracy theory with Ventura. Anyway one of those shows...

The first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture...the Eye of Ra.
upload.wikimedia.org...
Anybody know if Ra ever went on a fiery killing spree?

wont you come.....wash away the rain

.

In my eyes, indisposed
In disguise as no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
The sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat, summer stench
'Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I'll hear you scream again

Stuttering, cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
And sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes, a walking sleep
And my youth I pray to keep
Heaven send Hell away
No one sings like you anymore

Hang my head, drown my fear
Till you all just disappear

My internet connection been up & down for few days. I'm living in Singapore and the atmosphere today is stinging dry though nothing visibly unusual.

Thanks, whether it's a hazard or not, it does seem very close to a perfect circle.
Looks amazing and to think its nearly half a million miles across.

One thing I can say that no one else has so far: it's beautiful looking! I love solar imagery. It's always amazing to me what nebulous and wispy structures can seem to emerge from the sun in these photos. Once I saw what looked like zig zag lines across the entire face of the sun in the ultraviolet.

There isn't really any "ring" developing. There are two (at least) quite separate filaments which can be seen more clearly in the 193nm image

Are you saying the OP's pics are fake?
I ask because I can clearly see a ring in their pics.
I'm not saying there is any danger because I have NFI about the Sun but if the OP's pics are legit then IMO there IS a ring.
