Please make me an avatar!

I can travel up to mach 9.6. I am being modified and tested today and will serve the human beings of tomorrow. And I can be your best ATS buddy if you make me an avatar!

The reason I am requesting a new avatar is:

1) I hear they're changing the limits on avatar sizes (240x170?)
2) I'm ok with graphics softwares but not nearly as good as some folks here on ATS.

Check out my current avatar (designed by GEL) to give you an idea for what I'm looking for.

Heres your avatar resized to work as a background avatar, you can use it as a temp until a new one comes along.

I would have shrunk it myself but it distorts the image too much. Those background planets are looking pretty scrunched...

In general, thank for the replies though guys. I agree it's hard to match GEL's work, but I thought I'd give others a try. Especially considering she now has other duties to attend to than just avatars.

*Text in the avatar should be "Scramjet" just like it currently has. Objects to appear in avatar would be Earth, other celestial objects, a UFO, and of course a Scramjet/Hypersonic plane type vehicle.

The scramjet vehicle you see in my current avatar can easily be found on google images by searching for scramjet. Here is another scramjet pic that could be usuable IMO: Article w/scramjet pic

It should be under your layer-styles, or at least it is in in my version: 'PS elements 6.0', not sure about older versions though....
I think you can download them as well, there are tons of free layer styles and filters on the net

I have decided to go with John Q's fantastic creation, although now that ive made it my custom background it seems maybe its not quite long enough so it repeats a bit towards the bottom.

It still may need to go longer if it does then I will do it again.

Also background avys arent sizing properly at the moment anyway, there seems to be a browser issue. Hopefully someone somewhere is looking into it.

That's strange John, 480 px should be well enough to fit...
even 475 fits...

Maybe my old archivist badge throws off the size. But I'm not sure why it would throw it off that much?

John Q definitely got it closer than his original.... but still off a bit.

wow indeed, that badge gives you a larger background space, about 50-70 px... so that's why they set the max hight higher then needed

above the badge is the space for the transparent gif, so it sits below that pushing all the rest down...

Now it fits but unfortunately it has made it so the archivist badge is now covering up the SCRAMJET lettering.

There's apparently no winning with this new ATS avatar thing....

Hey if you try and come up with a solution, take your time. I'm not complaining. It's just funny how one problem leads to another.

Both the 550 or the 530 seem to work ok. I tried changing the height myself to 515 pix, but that was already getting a bit too small...

I need to have the staff here just exchange my archivist badge for a scramjet badge but I don't think that's possible...

Whatever size youre using is still repeating (a little) thats how I see it anyway, I know it looks different depending upon the browser youre using, thats the problem were having that I spoke of earlier.

Anyway, onwards..

Ive gone for 540 pixels height this time (havent tried that number yet lol)

Also resized the top planet it was getting distorted, and Ive put your name up higher. Text is a little different.
