I am beginning to develop a hatred of the Left and the Right for continuously politicizing everything for their own advantage. Winning is far more important that helping the nation for them, the Democrats want to keep power so they can do what? Sit there and twiddle their thumbs while the Republicans scream? And the Republicans want to win power so they can do what? Sit there and twiddle their thumbs while the Democrats scream?

Where is the motivation to solve problem when winning is what is most important? Washington has lost touch with the people completely, there is no longer a pulse. And it is all going back to the fact that a central government cannot govern over 310,000,000 people, it's an impossible task. It has allowed Washington to grow distant from its constitutions and the real issues that matter to them.

It's easy to ignore the problems when you are stuck inside a single area, knowing only a people in a certain economic group and having no knowledge of the world that is going on outside of the closed doors of the Congress. With this isolation into a small elite group of individuals this has allowed them to waste their time and our money on frivolous issues which only are important to the people within their small group, this is why issues that are important to the public are don't appear so urgent to them.

There is no motivation to solve the housing crisis and the reason for it occurring, there is no motivation for reducing peoples debt and the abuses that these companies have done, there is no motivation to stop the centralization of wealth among bankers and ceo's, there is no motivation to help small business owners, there is no motivation to help farmers and laborers, there is no motivation to bring back manufacturing jobs. Why? Because they don't feel it, it has no effects upon them or the people they know, it's like watching the news everyday but never feeling what they are talking about.

They call the anger in the country Populism and they denounce populism, but populism is the people and the people are who they are elected to represent. Populism should be the laws the enact, it should be the policies they fight for, they should be shouting over each other to see who can appeal to the people the most.

There is a sense of anger among the populace because Washington cannot answer to the wishes of everyone in the nation, the founding fathers new this and that is why they set up a system where states would make these decisions instead of the central government. The people of Massachusetts may want a public option health care while the people of Arizona do not. The people of Montana may want to abolish the income tax while the people of Georgia do not. The central government cannot make all of these people happy but the states can.

That is why I am developing hatred towards the Left and the Right, they have no desire to change any of the true problems plaguing this country. They just want to argue about the day-to-day things and win elections so they can point and laugh at the other side while they sit idly by and scream for the next election.

Neither side wants to address the most important issues honestly with real solutions.

The Budget deficit
Decentralization
Poverty
Federal Reserve
Too Big To Fail
Corruption
Trade Deficit
Electoral Monopolization
Corporate monopolies
Corporate corruption
Unnecessary regulations
Congressional Military Industrial Complex
Destruction of Civil Liberties
Religion controlling government
Imperialist Wars

All those issues and more are very important but no one wants to discuss them and the ones who actually do discuss them are called radical left / right; Kucinich / Paul. The ones who actually provide answers and call out the criminals are treated as the criminals.

So the Left and Right need to stop arguing and try and figure out how they can best serve their constituents because us, the ones outside the beltway and Wall Street, don't really care about the politics. We just want to know the job is getting done right, we will benefit and it is not harming our freedom.

its a difficult nut to crack when the only mechanisms for changing the system are deeply embedded in the corruption we would like to see fixed. Those of us who would like to see a gradual change instead a a violent upheaval have to participate in a corrupted system that unltimately only serves itself.

But perhaps if we can all get past the nonsensical partisan talking points and could have a discussion based in reality, we as citizens could begin to have a real game plan for the change you mention.

Yeah, that's our largest problem. You have to fix the system using the system.

We need new people not beholden to the establishment to run for Congress and pressure brought to bear to allow them into the electoral process without big money backing them. This will take time but it's the peaceful revolution we need.

"For those of you who are stuck in the old Left/Right debate, you are missing the bigger picture. Consider this about the Bailouts: It was a right-winger who bailed out all of the big banks, Fannie Mae, and AIG in the first place; then his left winger successor continued to pour more money into the fire pit.

What difference did the Left/Right dynamic make? Almost none whatsoever."

Do you a search for "left right paradigm" to see what a waste of time and energy your hatred is.

Should you choose to support the Democrats, the Republicans, the left, the right, the middle, it is all the same! You are supporting the same group of millionaire/billionaire elite's whoever you vote for. This elite political class does the bidding of the top 1%, of the population. The MSM is ruled by the same elite 1%. They control at least 75% of the wealth of this planet. The whole political system of this planet is a sham. The economic system is a gigantic ponzi scheme. You get to pick rich prick A or rich prick B. They quite naturally are out of touch with the common man, because they have all been born with a silver spoon in thier mouths. I not picking either, I am disgusted with the whole system. Governments that wage war upon innocent nations on trumped up evidence to solely benefit multi-national corportations. Communism, socialism, capitalism, it's all the same. What ever the political structure or ideology the same sociopathic class claws it's way to the top on the backs of everyone else. So don't hate the left or right my freind, they are equally delusional. They are not the ones covertly orchestrating economic catastrophy for the majority so that even more wealth can be funnelled toward the top. It is the "elite, sociopathic class", who deserves your attention.
So don't hate the right or left. Don't hate at all. We've get enough hatred and violence on this planet thanks to our ELITE bretheren. The whole system needs to be changed, Peacefully!

These are the threads that you make that remind me we have similar concerns.

Look, the political elite don't give a damn what you and I think. They don't care if you're a democratic socialist or a Constitutionalist. The problem is them, their own self-perpetuating mechanism. STATISM.

We have programs that allow for the assassination of American citizens. Is this what the left ask for? I think not. When Obama was running for office he took a stand on Habeas Corpus, on Due process of the law, on economic liberty. Since taking office his actions have been antithetical to all of that. When Bush took office he made THE EXACT SAME CASE.

No Nation building, free markets, less government, more individual liberty. Instead we got one illegal war, and one stupid war, we are nation building to this day, we have the feds spying on everything we do, even in our private conversations over the phone, and he decides to bailout Wall St. Not just the once in 2008 either. But in the early part of his term, the Feds bailout the airliners and a few financial institution shortly after 9/11. Bush was definitely no small government conservative, any more than Obama is a Constitutional scholar.

We have a choice to make in this country. Do we embrace the statists on the left and the right, or do we embrace true American individualism and liberty?

I agree with you on your statement. I recently read a thread of mnmeth1 and it was titled 'New Road to Serfdom', have you read it? Anyways, it has really made me think about Socialism, etc... and what truly works in our world.

I believe almost anything can work as long as it has not been corrupted by the blood stained hands of the elite. Americans don't support half of the current policies and it's not because it's a Liberal agenda or under Bush when it was a 'Conservative' agenda, they are sick of the Elitist agenda.

Heh, I used to support Obama fervently on this very forum. Until I saw his connection to elitist statism. Some of my dearest friends are communists and socialists and everything in between. It isn't about the ideology to me, it's about how one goes about to see their ideas and ideals realized. If one must do it by lying, cheating, and theft then the argument for any ideology is moot. Anything based on a lie cannot work.

That's where I am as far as what I believe and what ideologies I hang on to. I'm a Constitutionalist, I have much cross over with both the left and the right as a result. Liberty and rights, and a level playing field is important to all of us regardless of ideology. It is when we allow the liars and cheaters of the world to run the debate that we get divisions.

Hi OP, nice thoughts. Can't see your name in the retro punitive format.

The thing is that anyone in power knows the technological game all too well to do anything but meander toward a more powerful state system. They know the shapes of things to come, because they have knowledge of these devices. I am guessing it's a blackmail thing with most of them, and the most high are certainly controlling this tech to keep it away from themselves, only to be used on others. This in itself is an imbalance of natural justice. I believe that more powerful entities than earth has ever imagined are quite aware of this, and are working on it. Meanwhile, the leaders will attempt even more furiously to harness our lives and ratify control of the technoinfrastructure, step by step, blow by blow, until flying saucers must make unscheduled visits to deter hitmen, and even reverse their sanctions, if need be, pointing the weapon 180 degrees the opposite direction. I know how strange this must sound. I also know it to be true, and that these vain men will only accept a higher power when they are choking with death, their own death, such is the depth of the engraving of their vanities.

You say these people are 'out of touch'. Well, that's their 'excuse'. Should populism suddenly arise from this inferno, you aren't going to like it. It would be simple for any populist to gain control. Look at obama...all he had to do was lie through his teeth and then break every promise he made that was counter-bush while simultaneously ramming an iceberg down our throat. The left/right thing is for fools. Both extremes tend toward more powerful government. I thought everyone knew this? They wish they were out of touch, as it would lend that there's a slight possibility that they were simply ignorant. I am saying that this whole shooting match is technologically driven, and the machines are utterly sinister. The laws...the economic destruction, the wars, rise in centralized power: THIS IS BECAUSE OF AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY and it's applications. That I cannot simply tell you what I mean lends credence to my belief that an imbalance has been noted, and that universal justice (God) will necessarily intervene. The game is unspeakable at present, in a political context such as your thread. Even the most inept, animal of a congressman you see, will understand a visit from the white knight when he sees it. Then he complies, in bill authorship, vote, his every utterance, and with his silence. All of them to a man are mere pawns in this maze of rat bastard power tripping. It hurts to see God, when you are after power.

OP-I wish to edit my 1st response to add this, as I cannot edit with the site improvements.

The future economy is being driven toward simple 'detection'. The technology is mindblowing at first, and then bone chilling when you grasp the implications. Detection. Of everything.

Detection detection detection detection detection. Any president that doesn't like this is shown the zapruder film in which the head explodes with no visible projectile. I wish I had it in me to be more clear. This stuff will never be known in our lifetimes, and it will yield unspeakable gains for the power hungry.
