You guys get what I'm saying?
I'm against turning our kids into worker bees, making them the clean cut shaven drones that take our places. Denying them The TRUE Gifts of Mother
Nature, (planet earth), we are helping our children to lose their souls.
Sorry if I didn't make that clearer before.
I see what you are saying, and probably agree on some level, but as a global issue, and not just a western one.
If you look at a hierarchy of needs, such as Maslow's, it becomes clear that fundamental needs must be met before one can move on to more
complicated, potentiation-type tasks.
Survival skills must be accomplished before we can move on to more lofty pursuits. It's difficult to worry about your soul when you haven't eaten,
and have no place to sleep. I suppose by becoming "worker-bees', and being able to look after basic needs, we might then move on to more
sophisticated endeavors.
As a side note, I don't mind working, and I actually like it. I don't feel like a worker bee, but rather like a person who contributes to society.
I think work is good for people.
