I posted these over in the Hurricane Watch thread, but I thought it might be good for the people of the NE to see these so that they do not stop monitoring Earl. Even though he is weakening, he is still dangerous.

Tires pushed ashore by Earl in Atlantic Beach, NC:

And this sign from New Jersey said it very well:

the storm is just south east off the NJ coast.

No winds yet here in jersey, but from what it looked like on the radar it took a slight turn to the west.

i hope im wrong though.

this houshold, actually in the process of being a 'registered' Intentional House/Refuge
has been spared as Earl sayed off the coast
all we got were small gusts...not even squalls or driving rains...

but i did address the fascia problem which would have let in roof run-off
into the roofs soffit areas if not remedied... i hurried on Wednesday
to put new wood and some replacement shingles over a dry-rot area

i really need to take down about 12-18 tall (60') pines on this lot...
as several are looking to get snapped into the roof with a major wind like a cat. 3 or greater hurricane...
crossing my fingers until the hurricane season ends & i/we can decide on the direction we are gonna go.

thanks....just happy to test out my posting ability in this new set-up at the site
