I'm glad someone else besides me noticed the highlight on the side of it. It's a round disc shape with some exterior detail. It doesn't appear to be supported by the tree, the surrounding small branches aren't showing any signs of strain at all. Also, the photo is low quality enough that the specific detail between the branches and the disc itself are very difficult to tell. I have a degree in photography and have seen many photos, and while this photo from the scan i'm seeing is far from concrete, it's also far from disproved.

It's a cylinder, not a disc shape.

I thought there was a 20 post minimum to post threads?

Locster.....

Regarding the iPhone app.....

That's what I thought.

However, I couldn't quite get a "match".

Would The iPhone UFO App Fool Members of ATS?

Regarding the "20 posts".....

Chadwickus noticed this in the "New Members Introduction Forum" & we started discussing it.

As part of that process, I suggested to the Mods that it might be better off in the Aliens & UFOs Forum & they very kindly moved it!

Kind regards

I thought he used two on top of each other, to create the little bump at the top. The poster who suggested the lamp is more accurate i think.

Locster.....

I agree.....the "little bump at the top" is a problem!

I'm also thinking it's something hanging.....I will try to find time after work to have a better look at the pic & the info in this thread.

Kind regards

I think it looks like a typical UFO from the 70's lamp post models where in back then.
I think we are all spoiled from what UFO Saucer Depot is selling today.
Newer sleeker Big triangles with bucket seats that get better mileage and that are safer for the environment.

It's funny how times have changed and how UFO's evolved in such a short time.
