i lie on housing in fort drum, right now, no one is dead. they have found the chopper, medichoppered them to samaritan hospitol in watertown and they have a coroner around. one or two of the soldiers was seen alive and well walking around, and there are still some missing. seeing as the accident occured around two at the airfield about three miles southeast of my school, we always here the choppers and planes. today wasn't different and i didn't know it happened til my mom told me she'd be home late, she does media escort with pao.

They haven't called them "Crash hawks" since the first few years of their existence. There isn't a helicopter around that matches the 'Hawk for the mission it is expected to accomplish.
If you think about how many hours, worth of flight time the 'Hawk sees every day, all around the world, you'd realize it has a great record.

just remembering what my father used to always say about helicopters (he worked with them for years)...

"1000 different moving parts all designed for one purpose........to kill the pilot!" Just funnin' that's all...

Trying to lighten the mood a little...

This morning I heard it as 2 survivors, 11 dead...
