Did not see the object myself, this is what my sister saw, I asked her a few questions, here is the info:

Location: Yorkshire Area of England.
Number of Objects: 2
Object: Red, somewhat rectangular in shape, 1 was flashing.
Where: It was just above a house, a few meters up.
Travel: Did not appear to move, only activity was the flashing.

While we talked about it I went over, helicopter, plane, cloud, chinese lantern, etc.
Only thing I am left with is either: Reflection, Lazer, or UFO.

So what do you think it is ATS? Been seen before?

SOLVED: It was lights on a building.

I'd add toy and object attached to balloon. The balloon could be tethered if it's right above a house, I've seen similar reports before where that's what it turned out to be, something attached to a tethered balloon. You might see lights hanging underneath the balloon but not the balloon itself, especially if the lights are LEDs which aren't omnidirectional.

Some sort of antenna that's just tall enough to legally require a flashing light (for aircraft)?

Just a ball of light in the air and nothing else around it.
Look father up in the sky, something might be up there
suspended on ether sound waves that can light up the
air once in a while.
Even down to the ground as it seems.

There is no antenna there now, if that is what it was.
Toy on the end of the balloon is interesting, she says no though.

I'll post more info if I get it or if new ideas come.
Gonna go check it out myself tonight maybe.

She says there was nothing else, and the sky was clear as far as she could tell, did not get a close up look because she is not interested that much in these things lol. I was like
how can you not be interested, ah well.

Antenna or reflection seem pretty reasonable, maybe I'll never find out what it was, wish I'd seen it myself.

I meant ANY kind of lights hanging on a balloon, they don't have to be from a toy. If she doesn't know what it was, what is she basing her "no" on? What is her basis for ruling that out?

These are lights attached to balloons, and you can't see the balloons at all. The main difference in her sighting, is the balloon or balloons would be tethered if the lights were stationary. However some witnesses said these lights were stationary also. But they weren't, I guess the motion just wasn't easily discernible, especially if you didn't watch them that long.

I recall doing some research into statistics and found some that said statistically, females were less interested in UFOs than males. There are exceptions of course, but I thought that was interesting. Not sure if that might help explain why she might not be interested.

There is another thread on ball lightning.

If you happen to see the TV episode on the Belgian Triangle there
is a re creation of a ball of light moving around underneath the craft.

Mystery is solved guys.

It was lights on a building in the distance, I saw it myself this time.
Laughed for a while too.

Thanks for the help though.
