If you really look at what he is doing you can see that he is bettering the world. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for crying out loud!

It is not the responsibility of the POTUS to better the world. The President of the United States of America takes an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution for the United States of America, and that office is clearly defined by that Constitution. Nowhere in that Constitution has the POTUS been mandated with "bettering" the world. Further, the Nobel committee as much as admitted they granted Obama the Peace Prize for what they hoped he might do and not what he had done. Truly, Obama was not in office long enough to earn a prize that had all ready been greatly diminished for being granted to such dubious people as Henry Kissinger and Yasser Arafat, for crying out loud! Never mind the fact that people like Gandhi were completely ignored by the Nobel committee.

Persia,Greece,Rome,Nazi Germany, those are your previous examples of globalization. Globalization is done through conquest. In the past it was military conquest now its economic conquest.

Taking our wealth and redistributing it around the world while simultaneously sucking all these countries dry of every resource and concentrating that wealth into the hands of a very few, that is globalization.

Are you blind? Look at Africa exploited for diamonds, oil, gold, and other minerals while they pollute their ecosystem to the point of no return, all while the people starve to death! How about Ecuador, Brazil? Rainforest anyone? Hell, just grab a map close your eyes and point. The economic hitmen move in give the government a loan they can never repay and when they cant pay demand control of the resources. They then proceed to rape the land and enslave the people through the same fraudlent finance that is failing here and in europe. The only people who recieve any benefit are the very rich. All the newly created wealth goes to support their ventures.

Centralization destroys individuality on a titanic scale. A man in Switzerland dictating business practices to employees in Ohio is idiotic, the laws, customs, culture, enviornment, taxes and availability of resoucres is all different! The system does not take any of this into account it just says get r done. That's why these multinationals are unsustainable you have a top down structure that ignores the foundation.

Everyone is not the same. Forcing people into one set way of action is foolish and ignores diversity which is the key to progress and evolution.

One world government is destined for failure simply by sheer size alone. Once any organization gets to big it crumbles check the beginning of my post for examples.

Now before I go lets look at Monsanto and how they destroyed the farming industry of many third world countries by subsidizing corn where they couldn't grow it cheaper than they could buy it. Now those countries are dependent on aid because no one knows how to grow anything anymore.

And just how about the euro their golden trophy of globalization that's tanking as we speak. I think your perspective is biased because India has done better than most, but every job imported there was at someone else's expense. The unemployment rate for 18-25 year olds in the us is 50% hmmm..see where those jobs come from?

Globalization is definitely the future.

Why shouldn't I, living in South Carolina, have a say of what is going on in Israel? It makes perfect sense! Because my corporate, biased mainstream media tells me everything I need to know about every other country, so I'm obviously justified in having my opinion have weight in another country, right?

Why shouldn't I be able to tell Mexicans or Canadians how to live? Why shouldn't I be able to tell people in Arizona how to handle their border? I mean, I have zero experience over there, but the government tells me what to think despite my lack of experience.

Why shouldn't people in Afghanistan be able to vote on laws in South Carolina? That's globalization, right? Or wait, wait, is it only okay if WE are the ones telling others how to live? That's not globalization though, that's imperialism.

Even if we DID have a perfect, morally adept political system in America, I wouldn't want a global government backed by us. Throw in the fact that we have a hugely corrupt, power-hungry corporate government, and will my vote of "HELL NO" count in this illusion of a democracy? HELL NO.

We are all citizens of the world. I am in favor of a world government, I don't see how one can not be. It would only advanced civilization, especially in technology and education.

How about we clean up the government on state and national levels before we talk about globalizing?

And which world government are you for? You want a world government that suits you, I assume. What if another country doesn't want our government? Should we force them to accept it? Doesn't that infringe on their rights?

Still deflecting I see.

However, again, history shows you to be wrong. Scary as it was, it was war that always drove technology advancements. It also drove education. I'm old enough to remember reading about how the soviets launching sputnik ahead of the U.S. satellite program triggered a major shift in U.S. education priorities towards the sciences. We are using the internet now as a product of that shift.

One world government will bring stagnation and domination. Answer this honest and simple question. What will you do if the government makes a decision about your life that you do not like or agree with - when you can't get a bureaucrat to change their mind and you can't "vote with your feet" and go somewhere else where things are different?

Face it. You've been sold an educational "bill of goods", and evidently swallowed it whole without ever bother to question any of it. And yet you obviously consider yourself "enlightened". The rest of us obviously (and sadly) see you as simply indoctrinated. "My generation" questioned and still questions everything. TPTB have your generation right where they want them - accepting spoonfed dogma without question.

Have another soma?

Now back to the thread ...

Guess you just ignored my post. Go back and read it, it explains why globalization will ultimately end advancement. In 3 words lack of diversity.

World Sees Obama as Incompetent and Amateur

Maybe the rest of the world is finally wising up. Of course, this means that opportunist countries will be taking advantage of his incompetence. Hang on to your wallets, they're about to get much lighter, if that is possible.

My favorite part of the article.

"When the French president is seen as tougher than the American president, you have to know that something is awry."

Y2Zgt is co-intel stop allowing him to get under your skin, the guy makes broad ignorant statements and then he chastises you for making broad statements; he also presents zero information to back up his claims and ideas, as a college student that would be a no no, but for a CIA agent sitting in an office who does not believe what he is being told but has to regurgitate it anyway and does it with little conviction... of course it is going to be a weak case, classic psyops these guys should be banned.

So who is Mort Zuckerman and why should I take his opinion over my own?

Zuckerman seems good at voicing the neocon philosophy of America's role in world affairs, but even though he damns Obama with faint praise for his "intentions," Zuckerman's perspective is no different from the Bush administration's.

He simply says what Dick Cheney says. Nothing new to see here.
